Crazy talk? You decide. A Republican IT expert, Stephen Spoonamore, is claiming in an interview with Velvet Revolution ([editor’s note, by Steven D] link is to first of 8 YouTube interview segments) and in a written declaration that the 2004 election was likely rigged to give Bush victory through the use of hacked electronic voting machines in Ohio. Furthermore he claims that there is a plan in place by the same people he claims worked to rig the 2004 election to “select” John McCain as President in the 2008 election by 51.2% of the popular vote and a slim electoral majority.
News from the Underground has links to all the YouTube segments with Velvet Revolution’s 2008 interview with Spoonamore. For the more conspiracy minded among you (and who isn’t feeling at a least a little bit like wearing a tin foil hat after the last 8 years), feel free to check them out.
I posted all those videos, with text excerpts, in a diary here a while back.

Didn’t know that. Mea culpa, Lisa.
No problem. Glad for the chance to recycle it! Green blogging. š
nothing new. we knew the two elections were stolen – first by the Supremes and then by Diebold.
This time there’ll be riots. The camps to hold the rioters are ready. Thanks Hal.
Panic time from AP
Geez Steven. Why do you do this? Like I’m not depressed enough already?
…And with the economy going the way it is, no one will be able to afford to leave for Canada with more than the clothes on their back (maybe that’s what they’re counting on?)…
flee to Eeyore’s Gloomy Place
for some reason Kerry didn’t fight the rigged result – even though he raised $ for a fund to fight questionable results. why didn’t he? iirc bush’s popularity was over 50% for only one day in fall 2004 (election day). hmmm.
McWorse needs to get the election close enough to steal – but looks like he may have a problem with that. so then they steal it anyway? then what?
Ever wonder why, all of a sudden, the military now has a military unit tasked with helping local authorities with “crowd control” in times of “civil unrest”?
Yeah, me too.
Forget humans.. meet something that will disburse a crowd REAL FAST. Strap some teargas canisters to one of these puppies…
“nonlethal package” to set up hasty roadblocks, slow traffic. i wonder if voting is considered civil unrest
Steven, I finally came out of the biggest and longest freakout of my life over this election, and now this?!
Thanks. And my psychiatrist wants to buy you a thank you gift.
Playing for strategic victory.
It’s like the NBA playoffs against the Lakers in LA: the win has to be for real.
I trust in Axelrod and Michelle to go bare-knuckles against anybody.
It’s a very serious game.
But McCain is losing on every front. Each and every one.
As the odds of a McCain vistory get longer, the harder it is to steal… the more important it is that each and eveery one of us consider what we are willing to do if it looks like it’s being stolen.

Remember: Winning against the Lakers in the Playoffs in LA.
Interestingly, I feel good about where we’re at.
