Let me know if you know what the hell is going on. Or, just opine about what should be going on, but is not.

are they voting tonight? cspan is making me sleepy
the chamber music has commenced.
An elf tells me there will be a cloture vote at 10:30 and that no deal has been made.
No deal. Someone at Kos posted a link to MSNBC saying the deal is off because the UAW wouldn’t agree to pay cuts that would put wages at the abysmally low level of Toyota’s Alabama plant.
i don’t know, I think they might have enough votes for cloture. It’s close.
Kit Bond just flipped to aye. They must have broken the back of the filibuster.
Corker just flipped back to ‘no’. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen two flips on the same vote.
Bond voted aye and McCaskill voted no?
Anything involving the UAW should be off the table. They’ve conceded enough.
it’s the democrats caving when there’s literally no one to cave to.
It’s incredibly embarrassing to watch.
Resolidifying union rejection of the Republican party.
I’m not watching any news. And I feel better.
there are a lot more Republican ayes that I expected.
And Corker just switched his vote from no to yes, which definitely means something.
Without Obama and Biden to vote, and with Tester and Baucus voting no, I’m not sure if Detroit will avoid its death sentence tonight.
blech. failed
i would love to see Senator Boxer as Majority Leader.
i just had a vision of Chris Matthews speaking on the floor of the senate instead of Specter. It was frightening in both instances.
Sort of like … Doctor Hyde and Mister Hyde?
exactly.
specter is giving a lecture about not being partisan by giving examples of how Democratic leadership in the senate was the reason the bailout failed. i’m sure the irony is lost on him.
I can’t tell you how sick we are of Arlen’s act.
But I’d still vote for him in a second over Chris Matthews.
really?
matthews is an ass of the highest mangitude but if he demonstrated during a campaign that he would be a reliable vote on progressive issues… (cough)
Matthews will never get my vote. I’d consider working for Specter to prevent him from representing me as a Democrat. The list of Tweety’s sins is too long for me to even get started. Media Matters has documented almost all of it.
