Bush won’t pardon enough people, and so there will be grumbling on the right from those who weren’t pardoned (Rumsfeld, maybe, or Ted Stevens or even Alberto Gonzales).
During 2009, Obama will be sufficiently upset by Republican obstructionism that he’ll finally have to consider the Nuclear Option — trimming cloture votes to a 55-vote threshold.
My buying power will go down in 2009.
Since Neocons need war to survive as a species they will work very hard to re-weaponize the India-Pakistan animus.
Obama will have to replace all his major war/foreign policy/security chiefs within the first year else risk being a ‘failed’ president in his first term.
