What kind of soulless bastard uses his Christmas Eve slot on the Wall Street Journal’s op-ed page to advocate for higher defense spending?

Who would baby Jesus bomb?
I think you said it a “soulless bastard” who probably eats little kittens for lunch.
I swear, when I clicked on “soulless bastard” I asked myself “What’s Dick (shotgun) Cheney been up to now?”
“Soulless bastard” is now the preferred definition of the term Neoconservative.
Sad. Really fucking sad.
A soulless bastard who should give up his chair in economics and public policy. Along with his colleagues in the Chicago School.
We have had eight years of fiscal stimulus through defense spending. Exactly where did that get us, Martin?
Any stimulus spending has to leave substantial infrastructure that lowers the cost of doing business and the cost of living. Defense spending doesn’t do that. At best the production goes unused; at worst, it is another Iraq as civilians play soldier and have the military use all of its toys. Just how does that lower the cost of doing business and the cost of living? And lower resource prices was never the oilmen’s goal in Iraq. So that argument doesn’t fly either.
off subject but still about bastards..how this one sob talking about trash about a bastard..

The same kind of soulless bastard who thinks Obama’s stimulus package should be primarily composed of trickle-down Pentagon pork barrel spending.
Also, the same kind of soulless bastard who wants to use to holiday to not-so-gently remind people that America’s Favorite Christian Holiday is under assault from the Horrible Beturbaned Hordes of Scary Terrorists, so clearly we need to spend trillions more on missile defense shields and laser satellites and robots that shoot sonic death rays and shit instead of, you know, roads.
Maybe the Pentagon ought to try and find that 2 Trillion dollars that the GAO says they can’t account for first before this bozo starts thinking about new money. ‘Bombs Away’ must be interchangable with Merry Christmas to this guy.
Shouldn’t stimulus spending provide some sort of return. We’ve thrown enough wealth down the bottomless pit. Hey why not Christmas what better reasons then a religious holiday for building some killing machines. Religion and war are like peanut butter and jelly they go great together.
