Most of it. 🙂 We went down to my brother’s last night for a visit, so I still need to get my kitchen back in order this morning.
I woke up this morning dreaming that I was cleaning out my desk at work and no one really even noticed I was doing it…I think I’m really ready for a new job. Good thing I have an interview set up for after the holidays, and another prospect lined up if that doesn’t work out. I’m really hoping the first one will be a good fit, though, since one of my old colleagues is there. keep your fingers crossed for me, okay?
What are you up to today? CBtY is coming home from his Dad’s around 11 am, and we’ll CBtE later in the day (he’s hanging out with his buddy).
Christmas was fun and ended at a Chinese restaurant just like A Christmas Story. Do you know how many people eat at Chinese restaurants on Christmas?….a LOT. They also go to movies.
We actually celebrate mostly on christmas eve, and since it was 70 degrees and breezy we went for a long walk around the neighborhood and looked at the lights before exchanging gifts. It was nice.
I knew people went to movies (I think I’ve even done that myself), but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I ever knew anyone who had the Chinese restaurant on Christmas Day ritual. We had to settle for leftover Chinese instead this year…
The walk around the neighborhood sounds nice. I wish it were that warm here – we had to content ourselves with checking out the lights when were driving through the neighborhood. It was nice to see that the same neighborhoods that have put out the luminarias (luminariae?) lining the streets are still doing it nearly 30 years later. Very pretty.
So did Hope wake you with warm birthday snuggles, wet sloppy kisses, or that all too familiar birthday (and every other day) whine that announces she needs to go out?
This year, in an obvious tribute to FSM, my s-i-l served spaghetti for our traditional family Christmas Eve gathering. I thought it was quite touching;-) Hope your bd dinner is fun!
So I hope everyone had a great Xmas yesterday. We had a good one out at the farmhouse. I found a recliner with my name on it and slept until it was time to eat and open presents. The perfect Xmas. 🙂
I cooked up a stew to carry out and the rels did the rest. I didn’t do a bit of cleaning. I let them know I was heading back to my recliner. I got some shirts and socks and a laptop cooling station.
It’s about time you got to relax and enjoy the sight of everyone else running around. 🙂
Yeah, Santa got me a CD and a really neat book and a soft scarf. And the mister got me roses…well, he doesn’t know he got me roses; I bought them for myself with his credit card. 😉
What Hector got for the day after the day after xmas.
I was feeling a bit crook (Australian for “sick”) today, so rather than do something and make myself crooker, I sat on the couch and made this for Hector.
Wishing Second Nature a very happy birthday!
Picked up all the wrapping paper yet? 🙂

I hope everything turns out the way you want.
Nothing doing here today but we’re going to Cincy tomorrow to celebrate Xmas with Jim’s family,
Sounds like you’re having a nice relaxing end of year vacation.
Will there be a lot of people there in Cincy tomorrow?
Nope, just 10 people counting us.
Don’t remind me!
I am at the age where I’m completely happy to forget about my birthday….but thanks for the wishes!
I love your birthday — ’cause no SN birthday, no SN. 😉
What Andi said.
I hope you have some specials plans for the day (and that they include chocolate frosting).
How was your Christmas?

My neighborhood does the luminarias and they are beautiful, but half of them are still out there, soggy and forlorn 2 days later.
Sounds like a great time. Hope you had all the kids there.
Hope you have a great day. 🙂
Thanks, O!
So did Hope wake you with warm birthday snuggles, wet sloppy kisses, or that all too familiar birthday (and every other day) whine that announces she needs to go out?
Have a happy!
Oh, definitely the whine. Thanks, Jim.
Happy birthday, SN!
Thanks, boran!
Hi SN! Hope you have a Happy Birthday!
Thanks, ID…the kids are taking me out to dinner.
This year, in an obvious tribute to FSM, my s-i-l served spaghetti for our traditional family Christmas Eve gathering. I thought it was quite touching;-) Hope your bd dinner is fun!
So on this one have you finally turned 20? 🙂
Hope you have a great day and a great dinner with the kids.
Hey, FM….I need to pick an age that is a little older than my oldest child, don’t you think? I guess I’ll be 28 then. 🙂
28 is good. I’m still stuck at 15, but my damned body keeps telling me different. 🙂
Hope feels the same way….
Replace the face and that could be me.

That sounds like the perfect way to spend the day. Did the rels do most of the cooking and cleaning? What did Santa bring you?
I cooked up a stew to carry out and the rels did the rest. I didn’t do a bit of cleaning. I let them know I was heading back to my recliner. I got some shirts and socks and a laptop cooling station.
Was Santa good to you this year?
It’s about time you got to relax and enjoy the sight of everyone else running around. 🙂

Happy B’Day. Wishing you lots of chocolate frosting.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Mmmmmm, chocolate…
Thanks, keres! 🙂
Mi chocolate es su chocolate.

Yes, his room is a mess (typical teenager).
What a cool christmas present. Hector is the luckiest bunny.
Where were you when my kids had to do dioramas in primary school? 🙂
What day is it now?
Are we still having a party?
