As mad as he got, as hard as he tried and as much as I cheered him on, he never got anywhere, so what kind of clout does Congress have anymore?

I need to find video of the whole Ackerman thing plus Kanjorski’s rant.

Here’s part of what is missing from this video:

1:40 p.m. | “You’ve told us nothing”: A steaming and yelling Mr. Ackerman blasts the S.E.C. “I am frustrated beyond belief. We are talking to ourselves and you are pretending to be here. You’ve told us nothing. What the heck went on? What went wrong? One guy with a few friends and helpers found this fraud over a decade. You guys couldn’t find your backside with two hands when the lights are on. You have totally failed in your mission.”

These people are not going to talk. And do you know why? Because a higher authority…the Secret Government, the PermaGov…has in one way or another managed to make each and every one of them afraid for their lives, their families and their careers.

Bet on it.

Markopolis? I wouldn’t give two dollars for his long-term prospects. I wish him luck…if indeed he is neither simply on the hustle from another angle or a total fool…but he has painted a target on his back in permanent marker.

Once the heat cools off? Just like in the movies. Bet on it.

Please google <Madoff + CIA>, <Madoff + AIG>, and <Madoff + Krongard> for the itsy bitsy tip of the current state of the living iceberg into which this country has been repeatedly running…each time taking more serious damage…since at least the early ’60s.

While you are at it, google <Enron + Wisner + CIA>, <Enron + Wisner + India> and do some research into the B.C.C.I/Iran-Contra plot as well.

The upper parts of the financial system of this county have been as infiltrated and compromised by the itnelligence services as have the media.

Wake the fuck up, folks.

Ackerman ain’t gettin” shit from these people, and neither is he getting much time on TV or in the papers no matter how strongly he attacks them. One hand washes another, and it’s an octopus.

This is like some City Council guy yelling at shopkeepers who have to operate in a totally Mafia-dominated neighborhood. They know who to fear, and it’s not Congress.

A day, waeek, a month and the heat’s off again.

Watch.

The only way to even begin to change things is to raze the market to the ground…like New York City did with the mob-dominated Fulton Fish Market…and build it up all over again. And even then…I will bet you dollars to donuts the the new fish market in Hunt’s Point….what, two years old? …is already mobbed up.

Can you imagine the financial chaos if they tried to do that to Wall Street?

C’mon…slow and steady reform is about the only realistic option.

It’s either that or revolution, and y’all know the definition of a revolution, don’t you?

One circular 360 degree movement that ends up right back where it started.

Thomsen and Vollmer, who apparently had the job of watching the chicken coop under Bush, are performing rear-guard action. I can understand Ackerman’s outrage, but maybe he could have let them have a little more rope, or walked them through the process. Where did the report of Madoff’s ponzi scheme first go? Who decided whether or not to take action. Was there a policy? Was there a review of the decision? What did you know? That kind of thing.
