Another busy week at Casa de Sook (sook is an English/Australian word that comes from “suckling”, and means something akin to whimpy/needy). We have a lot of sooky animals, so someone said “Sook Farm” at some point, and it stuck.
Imogen’s been coordinating the local Harmony Day (www.harmony.com.au) festival which starts later today. Of course, I’ve gotten sucked into all sorts of festival related projects, the largest of which has had me building a 4.5 meter wide screen wall. I only have one more panel to paint and then I can put the hinges on, deliver it, and then hang around for the next ten hours putting up and taking down decorations, helping kids make sculptures, and just in general doing whatever else needs doing. 😀
Here.
Send that bunny to dancing with the stars.
But who would be his partner?
Gar.
LOL.LOL.LOL. Oh poor Heck. He would have to groom for days to get all the dog drool and cooties off.

The pack, past and present, are in fine form.
I’m still waiting for the paint to finish drying on the last few panels, and then I’m outta here for the remainder of the day.
And after watching paint dry, the rest of the day should be quite thrilling. 😉
Yep, that’s what I was thinking.
At least the sun finally came out, which speeded up the process.
I love that photo, keres.
Me too. I can just hear the, “Awww, Mom”!
I look at that photo and hear, “I love you, Mom.”
I look at it and see a puppy chewing on twig from the cherry tree and looking vacantly the way dogs do when gnawing on something.
But then I’m cynical. 😉
The Dude, to be known from now on as “Neo” went to his new home today.
And, for those of you in the “keep Squeak” contingent, good news, we are indeed keeping Squeak, who from now on will be known as “Lily”.
Gar will be going to a goat farm in Queensland as per arrangements made by the owner of the father of the litter (who had first-pick in lieu of stud fee). Papa’s owner will continue to co-own Gar and get back a few of her pups in future. Yes, breeding rare breeds of dogs is complicated.
They’ve gotten so big. But still so very, very cute.
Yay on keeping
SqueakLily.Great news keres! That photo is a classic – The Dude’s expression is all male, don’tcha think – kinda like a lion looking over at his pride of females saying “bring me a zebra.” Obviously he isn’t spoiled at all.
I had a cat that gave that same look often – “what’s for dinner?”, or as JimF would say – the look of love.
Yep. He’s all boy. Especially the sooky bits.
I’m betting he slept in the bed last night, and probably most nights to come. I hope they’re planing on getting a really big bed soon.
Neo — he’s huuuuuge! LOL, it’s hard to get perspective until you see them in someone’s arms lol. Wow … 🙂
And yay for Lily … what a lovely name.
wow! I had no idea how big he was until I saw that pic. What an armful!
8 kilos (17.6 lbs) in eight weeks. And Gar is still the biggest of the bunch.
Wow, he’s huge. And I love the look on his face.
Congrats on keeping the newly renamed Lily. I was secretly hoping who you’d wind up with.
When does Gar head off to play with goats?
I just waiting to hear from Gar’s owner as to when she has booked her a flight.
There’s a company here called “dogtainers” that I’ve used every time Luna has needed shipping. They provide the crate at the airport, so all you have to do is drop off and/or pick up the dog. They’ll even do door to door if you’ll pay the extra costs.
So it’s mostly a matter of when they can schedule her in on a flight.
Hector eating a carrot.
