baucus, among others, continues to chap my ass with things like this grand compromise that our spineless demoRATs have been floating for the past several weeks. even rangel, chair of the ways and means committee, is voicing support for the idea. additionally, the WH is “open” to the idea…a huge step back from the campaign rhetoric vis-a vis mccains proposal.
so 95% of the population continue to get screwed in order to protect the privileged tax status of the top 5%…same old shit on a new day.
you can bet the health insurance lobby is very busy, they’ve even offered to stop charging sick people more…a proposal as lacking in benefits or details as the RAT’s “budget paper” is.
what’s so fucking difficult to understand about single payer, universal health care?
It was essentially a radio version of the 60 minutes story a few weeks ago about how the fdic takes over a bank.
In this instance, it was bank in Washington State, IIRC. They took the bank over during a holiday weekend and within 3 days had it up and running again under receivership or whatever the hell they call it.
It took 80 fdic employees, 100 employees of the new bank that was absorbing the old, and all of the old bank employees to make the switch. They noted that this was a small bank by most standards, being 1/6,000 the size of Citi.
So my question to those that keep shouting ‘nationalize’ still stands, is the gvt even ready with personnel to take control of a bank the size of Citi?
CNN has slipped to third place.
With powerhouses like Lou Dobbs, it’s no wonder.

ps: sign dr. dean’s petition for a public healthcare option, it’s the least we can do.
Charlie Rangel defines ‘corrupted by Washington’ as well as ‘total sell-out’.

I have an a postnasal drip that is making me crazy today.
I wonder what pre-nasal drip is.
Given that my nose is not a small one, I don’t think I’d want to know.
