I’d rather not have a rush job. I appreciate that Obama is trying to push this through early, I do, but we may get only one shot at this and I am deeply concerned at the lack of clarity here, and the lack of a genuine public option.
I don’t think it matters. The compromises, side deals, and unwillingness to raise taxes mean we’re gonna get a shit product. That won’t start until 2013.

Another serious question: Why is weak-kneed Harry Reid (still after 4 years) the Senate majority leader? Why? I don’t think he’s representative of the Democratic party enough to be leader of the most powerful body.
