I suspect that as a way of carving out a niche for themselves amongst the onslaught of American and European singers the Antipodeans have embraced musical comedy, and weirdness.
Our local radio station’s putting the word out for folks who were there to appear in an upcoming European documentary. (I’m about 40 minutes from Bethel currently.)
The festival site has seen some serious changes recently, to be sure. It was a lovely place to camp out for years & years & years, while its fate was tossed about between interested moneyed parties; it’s now home to a gigantic entertainment complex under highly corporate management. No unauthorized activity allowed!

Have to believe that there are a lot more people who attended Woodstock in NY State than out here in California.
Times change. My daughter bought a Time Magazine publication for 1969. Amazing how many things happened that year, how long ago it was.

The SF Chronicle interviewed my friend Bill and I for an upcoming article on Woodstock. I’m guess it’s coming out this weekend or next.
It was okay. Lots of good music, mud and trash. I didn’t get high there, but I got laid, which was better for an 18 year-old.
