I have no Internet connection right now so I can only blog thru the iPhone. Please let me know what’s going on in the world because I have no teevee either.

WH and Dems are changing strategy with Health Care reform by splitting it up into 2 parts.

Any thoughts?
Here’s a Bush economist’s views on how Dems might try to pass a reform bill through reconciliation.
Always nice to see substantive commentary from the other side.

Giants beat the Reds 1-0.
Cardinals acquire John Smoltz. I had no idea he was still pitching (since I don’t follow the American League.)
Maxie Baucus still wants a bipartisan bill. That means no public option. The white House is fine with that as Gibbs walked back the “Dems going it alone” report last night. No line in the sand on the PO.
Glennzilla took a hefty hack at the Administration’s plans, saying the plan all along was to drop the PO.
The FDL people have raised over $160K for the progressives in the House to back them up against Rahm & his animals.
Brett Favre signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Lame upon lame.
Baucus thinks he can hide behind that bi-partisan bullshyt as a reason he can use for selling out the AMERICAN PEOPLE. fuck that. nail his sold out ass to the wall.
how does one get on the internet through iphone. my niece has one, and I haven’t figured out yet how to get online. she doesn’t use it for that, so she has no clue.
start by paying extra for data…
it has a half-assed browser…based on the Apple Safari browser. Just don’t ask it to do Flash….
Not supporting Flash is a feature, not a bug.
I don’t remember the exact details, but at the time of purchase, you must add a data plan to your existing phone/text message plan. When that is done & your phone is activated, you can connect to the Internet through AT&T’s dedicated network or through wireless Internet that can be picked up through the phone’s internal mechanisms.
I, for one, love this phone to death. It integrates with my home Macs without problems, does just about everything I ask it to do, & the plethora of 3rd party applications mean I can customize my phone if I so desire.
and would have an iPhone too if it weren’t for the tie-in with AT&T. Their service absolutely sucks where I live.
Here too. That’s why I got rid of it.
can’t really tell what’s going on or where we’re headed, but this handbasket I’m being carried in is very nice…
it is getting a bit hot though…
at least we’re enjoying the ride?

This guy’s my hero 😉 Wish he were my Rep….
driving through part of north TX today. unlike any of the other 14 or so states I’m driving through they evidently are not using any stimpak $ for road repairs. (in the other states repairs on interstates are everywhere). – besides giving many ppl jobs, the highway repairs, from the before and after I’m driving over, are going to save huge amounts of $$ for us ppl re: wear and tear on car.
in other parts of TX? or can they reject the interstate stimpak $? or maybe they’re just using other stimpak $. anyone know how this works? what happened?
Comcast? Hang in there. My cable was out three days once. Scary shit.
If only we had a public option for broadband.
Senator Kennedy is sending a request to the Massachusetts House for a rule waiver, so the Governor can appoint someone to fill his Senate seat until the special election required by the Mass. constitution can be held.
Sad news — though it is also very like him to think of the need for representing MA, and supporting the Dems in the Senate, especially during the healthcare fight, something that’s meant so much to him. Wishing him the best.
