I think the general public is weakened enough now by PlayStation and reality shows to consent to a dictatorship without too much fuss. But I just can’t picture the U.S. Army firing shells at the Capitol or storming the White House. Maybe the grandeur of our architecture contributes a small amount to sustaining our rights?

Not if Roland Emmerich has a say in it. I think when he gets involved in any movie project the first thing he wants is a scene showing the cinematic destruction of the Capitol Building and the White House.
In fact, I wonder sometimes if Emmerich is part of the propaganda arm of the New Reich (EU), sending out messages of the destruction of America. And that the Bush Family are operatives sent to our shores long, long ago to destroy America’s economic strength. Grandpa Prescott dealing with Nazis in WWII, GHW Bush deregulating the S&Ls, Dubya bringing the whole house down.
I know, this sounds like a mirror image of teabag paranoia but isn’t this thread for letting out our fears?
By the way, why should the military blow up what they already control?
Obviously The Village of the Damned
Be patient while they raise the “victim to taser” ratio. That’ll do the trick.
If the army won’t do it, then Blackwater/Xe will. Everyone has a price.

They took over the government for eight years, without tanks.
All they need is control of the voting machines. HELLO!
