It’s probably silly, but this Sally Quinn piece by Jamison Foser is my favorite kind of blogging. Sally so deserves the mockery. I think it should be put in the party platform that members shalt not party with Sally Quinn. I’m not even really joking. Okay, I am.

No you aren’t, and rightly so. That woman has no worth on this planet.
There are so many really valuable people, with important ideas. People like this are why the world is as bad as it is. The last thing Obama should do is hang out with them. What a waste of time.
Obama should be hanging out with people like this instead. This is from a friend who just got hit up for $15 from president. Here was his reaction:
That’s not out of line, in my book. That’s right on the money. F the parties. Get the revolution on!
It was a great piece, I saw that earlier.
I still think this column:

Is better … because it comes with the perfect visual. What’s even more telling about Sally Quinn is two things. She was Ben Bradlee’s mistress at one time. Two, she whined in that column about Dubya going to bed at 9:30pm. But yet she never wined like she did about the Clintons and how she does now about the Obamas.
that she tried to compare herself and her ilk to the blue ‘ savages’ in Avatar in her wretched op-ed today in the Post……
with every dig at the First Lady…
I hope that she doesn’t see the inside of the White House for another SEVEN YEARS.
It’s as much nostalgia-porn as anything.
Poor Sally Quinn. Like many people, she learned individual and social lessons from the ’60’s and ’70’s that turned out to be perishable at best and dead wrong at worst. She learned that the Washington Post is where the angels gather, which was never true. She learned that the noisy clamorous left was gauche, that gauche meant wrong, and that that was wisdom enough. But saddest of all, she learned that Sally Quinn was the center of the universe, and that it would always be so.
Digby has it right.
MoDo learned everything she knows from Sally Quinn.
Seems most of The Village did too. Plain out, straightforward character assassination and puffery. Supported by innuendo and outright lies. From the Carter administration down though the Obama administration, the MO has not changed.
Who the hell is Sally Quinn?
Quick answer: Mrs. Ben Bradlee (yes, the Ben Bradlee of the WaPo Watergate investigation fame).
Longer answer: The *** who thinks she is the arbiter of who should be heard and not heard in DC. Screening sessions are don’t in the guise of private parties at the Bradlees.
Analytical answer: A Republican ax-grinder going back to the Carter years. Part of the crowd who decided that Carter was a failure as a president and fluffed Ronald Reagan.
Research project request: Examine the relationship between Sally Quinn, George H. W. Bush, Richard Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld during the 1970s.
Living in Northwest Washington, it kills me that I am so how associated with this awful woman. She would get eaten alive in my Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Too many brown people for her liking and the rich people with the big houses are way to liberal and open minded for her tastes.
