I think it is ridiculous that Scotty Lago was asked to leave the Olympics because of this photo. He was just goofing around and having fun, The Olympics is not a religious retreat.
Oh, good grief. The Olympic village is chock full of healthy young athletes (and fans), most of whom are in their twenties and single. In the middle of what is basically a HUGE international festival and non-stop party.
So long as they’re not breaking any (Canadian) laws or hurting anyone, what’s the big deal? (Like athletes haven’t been doing goofy things in the Olympic village since the beginning of the Games? Give me a break….)
I LOVE Finn pictures! He’s also wearing a seriously cool coat of many colors. Did someone knit or crochet that for him? Or is it some kind of fab-yous tweedy cloth?
Seeing his little blue jeans reminds me that back in ’74, I had to sew a pair of jeans for my baby boy because no one had yet realized there was a market for that. He’d been given a super-hippie tie-dyed t-shirt and it wouldn’t look right without mini bell bottoms, ya’know. People would stop me in the grocery store, saying, OMG-where’d-ya-get-those?! Good times.
The sweater is almost as wonderful as the baby:) Could you provide more info on the exact yarn used and pattern, please? You could email me directly. Thanks.
It’s the baby surprise jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman (I got the updated pattern from Schoolhouse Press), and the exact yarn is the Socks that Rock Mediumweight in color “Moody Blues” (love that yarn!). I used either size 4 or 5 needles, and it was my easy, fun postpartum hanging out project.
Not the best picture, but you can get a little more of a look at the whole sweater here.
Finn is adorable! I don’t know how you set him down long enough to take pictures.
And great job on his sweater; it’s awesome! My favorite clothes for my little guys were always Oshkosh B’Gosh overalls. We used to dress them up in corduroy overalls with those little turtleneck shirts to match. You could just eat ’em up, they were so cute!
Enjoy your little man. He looks like a real sweetie.
Finn is just too adorable!!!!
Thanks. We think so too. 🙂
Aww, he’s starting to look like a kid now. His personality (and style!) are really developing.
Its so much fun now that he’s becoming more and more personable. Worth the loss of sleep, imo.
Awww. He looks like he’s about to say something important.
Yeah – “Let’s go, mom and dad!”
I’ll see that beautiful child and raise a puppy and young adult dog.
I’m sitting the big brown one for a couple weeks. The yungin’ is mine. All mine I tell you!
He’s been great.
Here.
They are very cute. I bet the big one has been a big help with wearing the little one out for you. 🙂
What cute puppies!!! They look so adorable.
Yes she has, Cabin girl. Help wear out my little boy.
And I AM grateful! Puppies have a lot of go in them, though this one seems to be able to chill with the best of ’em, too.
I’m in love, and it’s fun.

We didn’t even see the pictures before, and we knew it had to be something like that…

Good eye on the sweater. I knit it for him out of this amazing Socks that Rock yarn.
I love little baby blue jean overalls. I’d love to see a picture of your guy in that outfit if you have one.

Thank you so much! I know about the baby surprise jacket though I have never made one. Love that yarn!

Oh, the cute! The cute! how it burns! Quick I gotta look at something ugly to counterbalance the cute!
Awwwwww….. definitely needed a shot of “cute” this afternoon, and he’s perfect!
cuteness overload indeed. he is getting so big!!
Notice how he’s got his hand on the seatbelt? Practicing how he’s gonna wrap ya’ll around his little finger.
He looks like he’s just about to yawn or just finishing a good yawn.
