It’s definitely true that Harry Reid is showing some belated and appropriate aggression lately, but why he would announce that he’s taking up immigration reform one day and then essentially reverse himself a few days later is beyond me. If he’s responding to Lindsey Graham’s hissy-fit then it’s a simple example of raising when you are not prepared for a re-raise. It’s poor gambling.

Because he’s Harry Reid. And he’s a Democrat. One of my favorite political quotes of all time comes from Bill Maher, “Republicans are experts at making a big deal out of nothing, and Democrats are experts at not being able to make a big deal out of something.”
Two days straight the GOP Senate caucus stands strong in opposition to Wall Street Reform and for the 2nd straight day it’s glaringly obvious Democrats don’t have a strategy to exploit this for political gain. I guess it doesn’t help that the phony populists on the left can’t feign outrage at the GOP equal to the weekly outrage against the President. I didnt expect liberals to start taping Starbucks instant coffee bags to their smart phone ear pieces, but come on!
These things just got out of hand. So if I were you give yourselves a break with these kinds of issue. Flavor after flavor after flavor is on sale tonight for Baskin Robbins 31 cent scoop night. That’s right; the ice cream shop is selling scoops for 31 cents each! Baskin Robbins isn’t just doing this because they feel like being nice; they are doing a fund raiser for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. If you haven’t heard of them, they support a great cause. In short they help with things like college money for children and/or step children of firefighters who have died in the line of duty. So go get ice cream, but don’t just take advantage of this cheep day, donate some of the money you would be saving to a good cause for the family members of those who die to keep us safe.
