I don’t like any of these three scenarios. Can I send them back?

Uh, they’re missing numbers 4 and 5. 4 being that the Senate stays even, and 5 being the Democrats make gains.
Both are possible, neither are likely, but I find the chances of number 4 at least on par with their number 2 scenario.
Only if you make a big noise about your preferred alternative, participate in a march and tell one too many about it, or better, GOTV and listen to the people:
I don’t know about you, but my head needs discussion/listening to work. If people left me alone/I left them alone, I would probably make very foolish political choices.
I’d be happy with scenario one if Reid lost. Also, in scenario 2, Mark Kirk is a “moderate” like McCain is a “maverick”.
Boo, I’ll take #1 in a heartbeat.
If the Republicans can’t take either house of congress in the middle of a near-depression with a huge advantage in undocumented corporate money, well, then they are never going to win. And they’ll know it. It will be a bloodbath on their side come Nov 3.
Of course, it will be impossible to legislate with those tea partiers in the Senate. But hey, we can’t legislate now. Do we really think that Mike Lee or Rand Paul will be harder to deal with than Coburn and DeMint?
#1 simply ain’t happening, and #3 would be an unmitigated disaster.
