It’s been a busy morning here already – Finny and I got up early to play with all his cool new cars from the church nursery school secondhand sale. Vroom – Vroom!
And while he played, I finished a sweater for CBtY – pictures to follow shortly. I also blocked a little lace scarf I knit last month, so I’ll have something fun to wear tomorrow or Tuesday after it dries.
And now that it’s warmed up some, I think we’ll be getting packed up to take finny out for a spin in the stroller. There’s a new multi-use trail near our house that I’ve been waiting to try.
What’s everyone else up to? Did you really get 10 inches of snow, b2? We got snow Friday, so ID’s picture of the redbuds blooming was an especially welcome sight this morning. (Those sprouting acorns are a little funny looking, btw)
We’re currently at 79F with sunshine. The winds finally picked up around 1 pm and helped push a rather large brush fire around in the western part of the county.
I had fun all afternoon hearing the governor, senate & congressional hopefuls pitch themselves at a 9th Congressional District meeting. There’s a pretty good one getting lined up for the gov race. I’ll let you know who when he/she decides to announce;-)
Busy week for you this week? I know I have to head out a little earlier than usual today for a meeting at 9:30. Of course, Finny woke up early today too, so it’s an even bigger challenge to get ready.
But not ours — the camp’s. Our drive will wait till this summer to get as nicely spiffed up. OTOH, no parts of our road looks as bad as some of the camp’s which have almost completely washed away.
The color I’m liking best right now are the tinges of red (maples) and green (poplars) I see looking across at the opposite ridges — hints of bigger and much greener leaves to come.
good morning all. looks to be a nice day today, lots of birds singing. lots to do this week, especially because I accomplished none of my weekend tasks.
I’m right there with you on the leftover weekend chores to finish this week…looking forward to the fact that many people will be out of the office at a conference this week, so there will be some quiet work time. 🙂
Wanted to do more outside stuff in the yard over the weekend, but plans to begin work on loony removal at the statehouse took priority yesterday. Got a few pansies in before it got totally dark, though.
We had our nice day yesterday. Now we’re back to gloomy weather and drastically falling temps (from a high in the mid-70s to a low of 32 tonight). Already had a thunderstorm. Spring weather is always so interesting.
We’ve got rain in the forecast most of the week here too. But our temps warm back up starting tomorrow. Maybe you’ll get some of those warmer temps this time.
Happy Tuesday! I think I’m finally adjusting to the time change, and not a moment too soon. 🙂 I need that little bit of quiet time before everyone else gets up, and it’s going to be even more important as I start to work from home a little more.
I am really liking having manuscripts to review at work – so nice to actually do my job!
Btw, the rain passed through here in the wee hours, and it looks like we’ll have a relatively clear day today.
Good morning!
Hectic days. Young asklet returning to NY tomorrow, while yours truly goes to Paris Thursday night for an extra long weekend, visiting ‘swimmer’ and being joined by curly Friday morning.
Your spies apparently are better at providing info than the cupcake lady because she hadn’t said anything about it. I guess Proud Aunt will have to watch the news tonight.
Time for a new cafe!

That’s a cute photo of Finn above!
Nah, no 10 inches. And what we got was washed away by the rain that followed. It’s been a nice weekend, fairly warm and sunny.
I got to kick the soccer ball with the b2 boy today. We’ll have to do more of that. We’ve got a trail here also. Maybe we can get over there.

good to hear!
I think we’re getting that 70+ weather today! Let’s hear it for spring!
very cute!!
One of today’s completed projects:
Very nice ~ love the colors!
That looks great. I love those yarns where the colors seems to blend into each other.
And I love that Finny picture, too.
The color actually reminds me of the patina copper gets when it’s first starting to lose it’s pinkish shine.
yes, what they said. I love it.

And a long and winding road it seems to be… 🙂

Pretty busy but nothing unmanageable.
What! None of those ever so helpful CBs will take care of Finny for you while you get ready for work? I’m shocked, shocked. 😉
Wow, new gravel!
But not ours — the camp’s. Our drive will wait till this summer to get as nicely spiffed up. OTOH, no parts of our road looks as bad as some of the camp’s which have almost completely washed away.
Beautiful shot, Andi! I love the subtle color we’re seeing now.

good going with the loony removal project!

Same here except we didn’t have your high temps. It’s going to rain most of the week. Sigh.
I think we’re going back to the gloom later tomorrow. ergh.

Sounds good! btw I’m enjoying the title of the spam diary that promises i can be the midst of the party under some conditions (rolex replica watch?)

Have a great time! You’re not missing much here with gloomy weather predicted for the balance of this week. At least it’s warm.
yes, after a couple nice sunny hours yesterday morning it’s turned gloomy. saw a few unhappy looking daffodils yesterday.
Thanks! And my sympathies on the crappy weather.
Sunny forecast here for the foreseeable future.
I think to show your sympathy to those with less than spring weather you should put up some flower photos in this Friday’s Foto Flogging. 🙂
Waiting for CG to make you go poof.
One shot of troll remover administered.
Poofed. permanently. (although I did find their “bio” hilarious – all about being sexy and loving their gold condoms…
One of my spies reports that a certain NY cupcake lady will be featured on the CBS evening news tomorrow night (for those who have TV).
Oh my. Pretty soon we’ll need reservations ..
😉
Your spies apparently are better at providing info than the cupcake lady because she hadn’t said anything about it. I guess Proud Aunt will have to watch the news tonight.
This one is going to drop right off.
