Welcome to Friday Foto Flogging, a place to share your photos and photography news. We were inspired by the folks at European Tribune who post a regular Friday Photoblog series to try the same on this side of the virtual Atlantic. We also thought foto folks would enjoy seeing some other websites so each week we’ll introduce a different photo website.
This Month’s Theme: Secret Places, courtesy of Wilderness Wench.
Link of the Month: This Snapshot Of The Rhine River Just Became The World’s Most Expensive Photo. That would be $4.34 million.

Nice sets, Andi & olivia! When I was a kid, an abandoned cabin in the woods would have been a great treasure to explore. Thanks for calling up that old memory. The little fish faces peeking out of the coconut are just delightful.
Thanks ID. 🙂 That was taken out on Vancouver Island, in a nifty aquarium built inside a small shed at the harbour. All the tanks were filled with water from the harbour and the critters were completely local to the area – returned at the end of the season. Here’s a link to their gallery page showing the aquarium: Ucluelet Aquarium.
The dogs feels just that same way about that cabin — it has a treasure trove of interesting smells. 🙂
Olivia, love the tide and the coconut pics. Especially, with the latter it really helps to click on it and view the large version.
Andi, love all your pics as well, especially the Inside of a Leaf (great colors!) and the hidden sniff. Great work!
Thanks, Sven.
Thanks Sven.

Great set as usual. I particularly like the last two — great visuals with interesting lines and perspective.
Bensheim – Schloss Auerbach and the Berlin abandoned aircraft intrigued me the most, but I liked them all (as usual).
Great juxtaposition of the two houses.
Agree with the others – great set. Favourite is the Goldfield Hotel – that pigeon is perfect. Love the framing in the top shot and the variety of all the images.
This shall be simply a test from an undisclosed (secret) location.
I`ve spent a number of hours trying to access my proper account at Flickr.
If this test is successful, (crosses fingers) I shall return with a post I hope as worthy of the posted images here on this FFF Friday.
I`m still flabbergasted at Olivia`s most perfect image of my little brothers in the coconut shell.
It worked.
The squirrel definitely looks like it has a secret.
Yay it worked! And what a great capture.
I was channelling you … 🙂

Great set.
The firefighters are in a place most of us don’t want to know.
Is that cabin Slats Klug’s inspiration?
Thanks Jim, the fire shot was way back when I first got the digital and was an extremely lucky one for a new user. I stole Slats’ title for the cabin, but I doubt he has ever seen this one. Its about a mile north of the north end of Yellowwood Forest, about a mile of really bad road off SR 45. It was owned by my 6th grade teacher’s in-laws.
Always fun to “tour” your photos. I really like the perspective on Fishin’ Spot and the cat’s disguise put a big smile on my face.
Oh, great set ID. Like Andi, chuckled at the cat photo. Love that. 😀 I want to live in a cabin like that — that looks really cozy and definitely a secret place!
Photo was taken on April 29, 2007, about 3 PM.
It was an exceptionally warm day for this date here in ND.

I love this photo. It reminds me of a place near Roosevelt Lodge in Yellowstone.
Mrs. ID exclaimed, the water looks real! (meaning clean) Probably a bit chilly, too, at the end of April.
Gorgeous. Love the trees following the curve of the hill.
Beautiful!
You had to be there; as-in in my shoes there.

A nice set – I wondered for a moment what the edging on the maple leaves was in the 2nd shot, until I realized they were in the water.
I am bummed that none of my shots captured the golden glow that you got in that last photo. 😛
Jim, that first photo is gorgeous. The colours, the exposure, the reflection. Love all the colour in your set!
Back as promised.

Nice phallic symbol sub-theme in the first three. 🙂
Love gorgeous shots of the cerus. And I am, as always, quite drop-jawed over the splendor of your sunsets.
Here`s a little section of my backyard in the daytime. It`s been kept secret for a while.
You can see the match in the sunset shot.
It is the small flat area in the center left.
This is a worker at a Quilting Bee, straightening out a ball of string.
It’s just as gorgeous in the daytime.
Hi Head – happy to see you and your lovely photos.
The blue and red cerus – wow, can never get enough of them. Love the rich colour backgrounds. And the palm silhouettes in the sunset photo.
(Btw – rec’d your messages. Got a new phone set up, though same number. Will give you a call.)
The only photo worth that much money is the one showing who paid for the trigger to be pulled on 11/22/63.
Eyebrow raising, for sure.
I figure the purchaser is a 1%er one-upping another 1%er.
Stunning photos, everyone! So nice to see these secret worlds.
