Obama asks Iran to return downed U.S. surveillance drone
(Haaretz) – President Barack Obama is pressing his request that Iran return the U.S. surveillance drone captured by the country’s armed forces.
Obama said he would not comment “on intelligence matters that are classified.” But, he said during a White House news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that the U.S. wants the top-secret aircraft back. “We have asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama said.
Iran TV reported earlier Monday that Iranian experts were in the final stages of recovering data from the RQ-170 Sentinel, which went down in Iran this month.

- Super Secret Stealth Spy Drone Gone Missing Over Iran
(hey, what’s new?)
Obama to Iran: Give back our drone
Yup, that’s the way to go. First, violate the air space over another nation for purposes of spying – then, when that goes wrong, bomb the shit out of the nation that was already violated…
[Disclaimer: I abhor the rule of the fanatics in charge in Iran, but the dangerous, moronic simplicity expressed by this war criminal must be exposed. He just makes it so much easier for them.]
.
Hey guys, this drone is classified. We’ll keep silent about it, but please do not put it on display. It’s such an embarrassment for our intelligence community, you are aware barking dogs don’t bite. You hacked our sophisticated satellite control systems, an even greater feat than the Stuxnet worm we infected your centrifuges with. We got to be tough on your gardists, they are really bad and we were already succesful in a covert bombing event. We do apologize for backing Saddam Hussein in the war of agression causing a million deaths on your side.
Our God has seen fit to hang him for his crimes. You must realize, each war provides an opportunity for further development of sophisticated weapon systems, reconnaisance missions and some spying efforts. The War in Afghanistan is such an opportunity to map your place from high altitude. If you share with us some science of your cyber warfare, we’ll share with your government our archives of some excellent mapping of your country in high resolution. Before we come to agreement, we would appreciate your gesture of good-will and return our wayward stealth drone immediately. We can provide transportation, no need to use the offer of logistics from the Russian beer or the Chinese tiger.
Perhaps we can arrange a visit by our select group from Congress specialized in foreign matters. If your excellency Ahmadinnejad and Ayatollah Khamenei would care to join us for some falconry, our party will be made up of our finest hawks.
Your refusal will be seen as an act of utter aggression and force our Commander In Chief to unleash our 2 attack dogs: Bibi Netanyahu and King Abdullah. You have been warned!
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Oui, A disclaimer of any sort is unnecessary. No one is going to accuse you of supporting the Iranian government if you critize this rancid, obnoxious war criminal. That’ s in the same catagory as the commentators who voices support for the Palestinians and feels compelled in the same breath to express support for Israel out of fear that someone might think they’re anti-semitic. It’s time to acept that acts of the US government can be simply unujustifiable and wrong, no matter what the character of the other side. Chelsea Clinton has become a talking head. Funny how everyone makes such a fuss about here previously avoiding publicity as if she has finally had a revelation and they’re so happy she has joined the chattering masses. Will she be biased?

“No!” Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi told the official IRNA news agency: “The US spy drone is the property of Islamic Republic of Iran. Tehran will decide what it wants to do in this regard.”
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
This is really rich, spying on the guys and then almost saying the whole thing is their fault because they won’t give back the spy toys. Evidently the loss of the drone is huch deal and has caused huge concern in the US. Maybe the US can begin by explaining why they were spying on Iran. That would be good for a laugh.

I love it. The US violates Iranian airspace, and when Iran shoots down the violating craft the US gets all huffy about it.
Business as usual.
