One way or the other the GOP circus is further marginalized. And so are the Bushes.
If Obama’s strategy hasn’t been to position himself at the exact political center of the electorate and widen his support in both directions from that point to squeeze out the GOP from a wide mainstream, then Obama has pissing off people needlessly.

I watched an Obama speech recently where he was in front of two huge American flags, wearing an American flag lapel pin, and dropping his “g’s” – gainin’ and workin’ and tryin’. I don’t remember if he also ended it with George’s “may God bless the United States of America” as he so often does.
After all your little soiree isn’t all that special unless the biggest stars in town attend. I think this is just a case of “elites” taking advantage of a nice guy’s being polite and uneasy about declining an invitation from his guests.
