   Usage of the “he looks black” statement is the most common out of context error that I hear made in the press.  It is obvious that he was responding to a question from the dispatcher.  It is easy fodder for those on the right who want to marginalize the tragedy.

     It was obvious.  I somehow managed to know that the “He looks black” statement was from a later part of the phone call before this story broke.  Now I’m wondering how.  Was a more-complete audio released somewhere else?

     The response to this story among the troglodytes who constitute the Boston Globe’s commenters has been “See, I told you this was another Duke Lacrosse case.”  Great.

   If he was black, a registered Democrat, or a known member of any liberal organization they’ll be shouting about a provocation and a frame-up.

   Neo-Nazis are currently conducting heavily armed patrols in and around Sanford, Florida and are “prepared” for violence in the case of a race riot.    That is some nasty spin there, Booman. An editor purposely skewed the tape. Whether he or she did it out of individual belief, totally brain-dead incompetence or on orders from someone higher we will probably never know, but that skewing served your purpose. Now that the skewer has been himself/herself been skewered you are trying to spin that fact to your own profit as well. Sorry, man, that shit won’t fly. We live in a multicolored, three dimensional world and black and white, two-dimensional shit like that  sucks, to put it as simply as possible.

   It really does.

   Jook for real justice, Booman, not Fox News-worthy spin. You’re better than that.

   To me, calling this “feeding the right-wing a body” only makes sense if you think it was unjustified. After all, “feeding bodies to the right-wing” suggests, at a minimum, appeasement, and appeasement of the Zimmerman apologists (more precisely, apologists for how our justice system has treated Zimmerman) is not remotely justified. This editing is gross slander. I think all the evidence I have seen supports the notion that the shooting was murder and racism was a factor. That doesn’t change the fact that editing audio like this is libel and fraud, and getting fired without even having your name exposed is far too lenient for that kind of behavior. Tempers are high, and blood may be shed, and you’re falsifying evidence on national television? It’s true that no one was fired for slandering Acorn, and someone should have been, but that still doesn’t justify this.
