   “Dark Knight” Shooting Imitates Scene From 1986 Batman Comic Book

   (Pat Dollard) – The horrific shooting at the screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado late last night bears eerie similarities to a scene in the 1986 comic Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. In the comic, a crazed, gun-toting loner walks into a movie theater and begins shooting it up, killing three in the process. The passage concludes with the media blaming Batman for inspiring the shooting, though he is not involved in the incident at all.

   Was the shooter imitating this scene from the comic? Maybe, although in the scene the shooter is portrayed as inspired by his disgust at pornography and heavy metal music.

   “Batman: The Dark Knight” as it was originally called is a turning point in the Batman myth and in the evolution of the American Superhero genre in general. The four issues that make up the complete story represent a break from kid-friendly tales of good vs evil to more ‘real world’ examinations of heroic mythology; its origins and its ramifications both personal and societal. Written by Frank Miller it sent shock waves through the comic book world that are still being felt today. Some critics decried the loss of innocence, others embraced it with a hearty “It’s about time!” But no one could ignore it.

   Pharmaceutical-induced violence

   Until we stop medication young people with mind-altering psychotropic drugs, we will simply not see an end to this pharmaceutical-induced violence. Even if you somehow manage to take away all the guns, similar atrocities can be carried out with machetes, swords, knives or explosives. The problem here is not simply the weapon, but rather the mind behind the trigger. When minds are disturbed through psychiatric medications and young men are trapped in a chemically-induced state of sub-consciousness with no connection to reality, outbursts of mindless violence are exactly what you’re going to get.

   Even if you somehow manage to take away all the guns, similar atrocities can be carried out with machetes, swords, knives or explosives. The problem here is not simply the weapon, but rather the mind behind the trigger.      As the human brain doesn’t fully mature until age 25 or so, all psychotropic drugs and substances may be harmful to those still developing.  And as much as I dislike and distrust big Pharma, I find associating violent rampages of young men as being caused by SSRIs as scientifically valid as immunizations causing autism.

     A population high in Anomie and with a certain level of wealth will consume high amounts of anti-depressants.  But the latter isn’t the cause of the former, nor does it correct the former.  And it’s just silly to say that without guns

     similar atrocities can be carried out with machetes, swords, knives or explosives.

     All their fantasy forms of power through violence not dependent on years of physical and mental training are based on guns.  Have any of these young mass murderers not been compulsive users/consumers of some form of violent glorifying product?

   His apartment set-up timed to explode and divert emergency responders to his rampage at the theater suggests that he also took some inspiration from Brevik (his capture was also similar).  However, what’s most strange is the exceedingly superficial quality of his plot and actions.  As much as I dislike the derivative shallowness and extreme violence of today’s action movies, they do have mostly coherent storylines.  Holmes had “theater,” but less sense than can be gleaned from other mass killers.

   The neuroscience boy has himself quite obviously himself been “neuroscienced” in some manner. Drugs…street, prescribed or forced upon him in some manner…hypnotism, brainwashing etc. all have the same set of effects. Similar affects as well in many cases. Disorientation, rapid changes of personality in a very short time…y’all know this just from your own lives and those of people with whom you have come in close contact. We really do not know how far the various intelligence services have come in this direction. That’s why they’re  called “secret” services, right? As far back as the 1950s our own beloved CIA was experimenting with various forms of mind-control. You could look it up. Project MKUltra.

   Now…if the rest of the sciences have come so far since the early ’50s, who is to say how well the intelligence systems of the major military powers have mastered this science and to what uses they may put that mastery.

   Just sayin’…

   If the hypnomedia continue to cover this story as if this slightly geeky kid “mysteriously” changed from being a regular ol’ smart college student to a mass murderer…the “Duh!!! We don’t know nuthin’!!! Is a puzzlement.” routine that we have regularly been fed since the JFK assassination (And I have no doubt whatsoever that this is what we are going to be fed. Not only that, but most Americans will eat it up like all of the other BadBurgers upon which they live.)…then please. Look behind the headlines. Somehow, there is more to all of this “mysterious murderer” routine than we are being told. I am sure of it.

   What it is?

   I dunno.

   But it’s out there.

   Bet on it.

   And it will surface in much the same way…a shallow surfacing almost immediately non-personed by that selfsame media…as has the info on people like James Earl Ray, Sirhan Sirhan and Lee Harvey Oswald.

     (Cannonfire) – In this video, James Holmes gives a presentation “Temporal Illusions” during a summer camp at Marimar College. He was 18 years old! Some terms seen in the video: Computational Neurobiology Lab, Dr. Terrence J. Sejnowski, mentor John Jacobson, illusion that allows you to change the past, Fantasy vs. Reality, what goes on in one’s mind as opposed to the outside world.

     The guy that’s listed as Holmes’ mentor in that “temporal illusions” video, John E. Jacobson, repudiates the idea that Holmes was “brilliant” and says that he all but fired him from the research internship program. He also talks about assigning Holmes the task of writing computer code for a rock-paper-scissors game–no mention of “temporal illusions” at all. However, in 2002, Jacobson was second author of a paper entitled “Perceived Luminance Depends on Temporal Context “

     Bobby Kennedy assassin still claims he was ‘victim of mind control’

     (Daily Mail) – Sirhan Sirhan [24 years old] was incapable of premeditation, added another of his lawyers, Russell Parsons, who praised the testimony of psychiatrists and psychologists who labeled Sirhan as a paranoid schizophrenic.

     Prosecutor Lynn Compton, a chief deputy district attorney, argued that the psychiactric expertise had “highly overcomplicated” the case. One psychologist had testified that Sirhan had been in some sort of hypnotic trance when he shot Kennedy.

     Of course these people are…some of them…”crazy.” And some not so crazy. Did this young man’s mind break wide open because of trouble in school? Too much pressure? Maybe. I dunno. I do know one thing though. There are forces at work in the world that do not give a rat’s ass about the deaths of a few plebes if it serves their purposes. Osama bin Laden asked the following magic question in 2004:

     By what measure of kindness are your killed considered innocents while ours are considered worthless? By what school [of thought] is your blood considered blood while our blood is water

     Sometimes I think that this question has a different answer than the one that bin Laden intended. Perhaps all people’s blood is “just water” to the creatures who seek to control us. Is American blood really any more special than that of the brownish people who have been killed by the millions during the Third World War…the war for control of the Third World…that has been waged for well over 50 years by the developed world? Why? Are we somehow “special?” I think not. So-called American exceptionalism is proving to be a myth just like all of the other myths that are used to get people to do the controllers’ bidding. We’re all just walking bags of working laundry as far as they are concerned.

     Did “Obama” do this? I doubt it. Did the system that has been set up in the U.S…a whole population working under continuous money pressure and media-induced panic…push this kid over the edge? Does it really matter “why?” In the long run a cabal of people have taken over the power system of most of the world and whether they get down and dirty enough to turn some highly suggestible kid into a mass murderer or whether their greed, hubris and position simply put the wheels in motion, we are in big trouble here.

     Big trouble.

     What to do?

     Wake the fuck up, just for starters.

     It’s amazing what some people believe, isn’t it, especially since this case isn’t all that unusual, and the suspect is at the normal age for the full manifestation of what is commonly called schizophrenia.

     Occams razor seems to be lost on some commenters hereabouts…

   Questions linger in wake of Colorado theater massacre

   (Raw Story/AFP) – Holmes was enrolled as a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado, living on a $26,000 a year grant from the National Institutes of Health for promising neuroscientists, university officials said. But in June he inexplicably withdrew from his demanding four-year program after facing a panel of professors for an oral exam and reportedly failing, Denver television station KMGH-TV said.

   “I think his college experience is very important for us to analyze,” said Farley, a former president of the American Psychological Association who knew one of four scholars slain at the University of Iowa in 1991 by a student who then committed suicide. “It could be an ingredient (among many contributing factors) that he began to feel rejected,” he said, noting the intense pressure that any doctoral program involves.

   Shopping online over several weeks, Holmes built up a small arsenal including a shotgun, an AR-15 assault rifle, two Glock handguns and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition, plus body armor and a gas mask, police said.

   Gun-range application drew red flag

   The 24-year-old former student who was arrested over the shooting at a Denver cinema was refused gun club membership after the owner heard his “bizarre” answerphone message. James Eagan Holmes, who reportedly referred to himself as “The Joker” on the evening on the attack that left 12 people dead, applied to join the Lead Valley Range in Byers, Colorado last month.

   Owner Glenn Rotkovich (video interview) said when he called Holmes to invite him to a mandatory orientation session he heard a voicemail message that was “bizarre – guttural, freakish at best”. He left two other messages but eventually told his staff to watch out for Holmes at the July 1 orientation and not to accept him into the club, he said.

   Mitt Romney: New Gun Laws Aren’t the Answer

   (CNBC) – Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney reiterated his support for gun ownership.  

   “Well, I’m a firm believer in the Second Amendment, and I also believe that with emotions so high right now, this is really not the time to talk about the politics associated with what happened in Aurora.

   “Our challenge is not the laws. The challenge is the people who are distracted from reality and do unthinkable, unimaginable, inexplicable things.”

   As governor of Massachusetts, Romney signed into law a ban on assault weapons and quadrupled the state’s gun licensing fee. He said the law enjoyed support from politicians on both sides.
