I’m fried. I got up very early so we could drive down to an orchard in southern Chester County and have family photos taken in a picturesque setting. That went great. Then I came home and watched the New York Football Giants break the hearts of Washington Redskins fans. RGIII is going to be a headache for years to come, though. He can play. Then it was off to Home Depot and the grocery store. Finally, we introduced Finn to the wonders of popping popcorn. I have nothing left in the tank. I guess it doesn’t matter too much. All I see is a bunch of stories about bullshit. Did I mention that I have the worst Fantasy Football team ever? I had the last draft pick this year so I took some chances. None of them have panned out.
The foreign policy debate is tomorrow? Maybe Romney will explain how to make a whole country of people hate you in under 24 hours.
What’s on your mind?
I am going to have butterflies in my stomach the size of buffaloes.
It finally occurred to me what makes RG3 so good.
He can do things on the run that most quarterbacks do only with their feet planted comfortably in a clean pocket.
On my fantasy team, it’s gotten to be kind of a joke.
Last week, I think it was, Eric Decker just fell down while running in for a touchdown. Today, Hakeem Nicks was tackled on the one yard line, then had a a 20 yard reception called back because of a holding penalty. Then the Law Firm ran all the way down the field against Pittsburgh, asked to come out of the game, and the backup scored a 9-yard TD to finish the drive. Twice this season Larry Fitzgerald has failed to get 30 years receiving. My TE’s, Finley and Pettigrew, no longer catch touchdowns. And my QB, Matt Stafford, who led the league in TD passes last year has thrown just five or so this year.
My backups can’t do shit. I had two WR’s playing today because of the bye who collectively managed fifteen yards and no scores.
It’s kind of comical. I’m losing games by 80 points.
I’m on a brand new laptop. It is truly amazing how things have changed, especially when one has been using a 2004 powerbook.
Mine is a 2006. It’s not the computer, really. As mine worked great until earlier this year. It’s the software companies and their bloated programs, really. Mine works fine now, just slow on a few things.
With the powerbook, it’s a combination of the speed and old operating system. Not many browsers are still being supported for OSX 10.4. And even with 1.5 ghz and 1.25 gb of ram, it is on the very slow side with its old powerpc processor. I actually got it used. It still has no problems but time is passing it by.
I’m exhausted, too. I taught a three day rug hooking class and today was the final day. Tomorrow I head home to Ohio from St Loius and I’m more than ready.
I made money and had fun. I was surrounded by Cards fans who were pretty confident that they’d easily beat San Francisco, and tonight they’re feeling pretty pissed. I can hardly tease them, as I usually root for the Reds, and we all know how that turned out…
On the upside, my new craft handbook came out. I am officially a published author, even if it’s just a handbook about rug hooking. It’s neat to have a book with my name on the cover that I didn’t write on with a Sharpie.
Congadulations!
‘Just a handbook’ Pahsah! You’re published, enjoy it.

Thanks! ::blushes::
If you’ve been concerned about recent polls, as I have, you should read this, it’ll put things in perspective:

Thanks for that. Makes sense.
Another mass shooting in Wisconsin.
The GOP-controlled State Board of Elections has decided not to ask the State Attorney General to investigate Colin Small, the GOP operative found dumping completed voter registration forms in a dumpster. One wonders if the DOJ will have anything to say about matters.
Todd Akin is at it again. McCaskill still leads, though. Apparently she has the Libertarian candidate at least partially to thank for that.
It’s the wind down of hunting season here. I got convinced by my big old dog that we just had to go to the river today to say goodbye for the season. Damn it was beautiful but the hunters have been camped there for 2 weeks and the campsites were chuck full of various carcasses, leftover food and strangely, pumpkins. Place stank to high heaven.
Well of course it was dog heaven and I’m thinking the rolling in rot was at a marathon rate.
Wednesday I make the trek over the mountain pass to get a new puppy. A Newfie, like Satchmo to replace our treasured friend that we lost this summer. New puppy will I’m sure be enamoured of the aroma we shall bring along to the first meeting. The breeder tells me ‘she’s a pistol’ so I’m sure sleep will be a thing of the past starting Wed. Oh poor me and Satchmo! haha
So jealous. We need photos. Let me know if you need help with getting them posted.
Thanks. I don’t even have a camera so I’ll see if a member of my crowd that’s coming to her arrival will have one. She’s got some ‘way back’ Pouch Cove in her and weighs 15 pounds as of yesterday! Just a little squirt!
I think Pouch Cove newfs have the best head profile. Just what I want a newf to look like.
Beautiful dogs. What color is it?
She is all black no white spots, just like Satchmo. Breeder emailed that she’s bringing 3 puppies as 2 people backed out, I think one is a bronze, we’ll see. There’s a crowd of family forming to meet her on the west side so should be fun.
Boo, try to carve out a little time for a powernap. They’ve become a much greater priority for me since the attainment of geezerhood. Not sayin’ you’re anywhere near that esteemed milestone, you understand;-)
