I have a pretty full schedule today. Have Ezra and Krugzilla opened another battle in the Tokusatsu Wars?

What the hell is the “Tokusatsu Wars”?
Japanese Theater.
Not quite. It’s Japanese movies, anime, and games based on superhero battles – the Godzilla movies were the template, but now it’s Ultraman and the like. Very popular in Japan, starting to get traction among anime buffs here.
Well .. there is this:

ything-wrong-with-that/
Wow, is that a longwinded bunch of concern trolling by someone who apparently was not invited.
When all the media shuts down “backgrounders”, they can criticize the activist progressive Democratic blogosphere.
Yes, transparency would be nice, but this administration and the Congress has been burned because there was transparency about the stimulus package and the Affordable Care Act in Congress. And people saw the sausage being made while the real deals were hidden in the Senate Finance Committee and agreements with lobbyists.
How did they get burned, you ask. By the GOP tool Politico breaking the background deals while the left blogosphere was working like crazy to “make him do it”. Allowing progressives not bound to the Democratic party the opportunity to create a whole variety of anti-Obama narratives, some plausible and others wildly speculative and still others totally invented. With the result that the progressive Democratic folks invited to this tete-a-tete were floundering wondering WTF was going on and definitely not on the same page.
Just my SWAG of the message to the blogosphere: there’s not going to be any 14th amendment move or trillion-dollar coin. Doing it the easy way for the public does not take down the GOP because they can still hide behind outrage over the unconventional.
Come on!! You don’t think Rahmbo leaked to Drudgico? Don’t you think Markos has a duty to tell his readership that he’s going to be at the WH? I can understand that maybe he can’t talk about what was said, but I’m sure people want to know that he was there.
If part of the invitation is the stipulation that you not talk about it (“Off The Record”) then you honorably decline the invitation (“I don’t do off-the-record since it is my duty as a journalist to report back to my readers”) or you honor your commitment not to talk about it.
Oh, come on. Everybody knows Markos is not a real journalist. He’s an irresponsible lefty-liberal blogger. And besides, he’s not a real American, if you know what I mean. Isn’t he from Guatemala or somewhere?
El Salvador
/snark
Only if Markos is a journalist.
BTW
Too bad the Wall Street Media don’t follow that rule.
Now here’s some news. Apparently there is a Twitter campaign to Nikki Haley to appoint Stephen Colbert as US Senator from South Carolina. (There are residency issues, but what the hey.)
Methinks that you don’t have to be a South Carolina resident to tweet.
Why should Minnesota be the only state to have a comedian?
Why not replace a clown with a real comedian?
Oh,…the snark writes itself.
how about Miss teen South Carolina? She equals the Koch bimbos in terms of intellect and she is genuinely charming unlike Kelly Ayotte or Nikki Haley or Deb Fischer

I’m not sure the GOP caucus allows “genuinely charming”. Might be seen as weakness.
All of a sudden it raises the question as to whether Fairhope AL is a cover story. </snark 🙂
Same thought crossed my mind. If Martin starts offering White House coffee mugs for Paypal donations this coming week, we’ll know the jig is up.
Yes, I have the same question, but won’t pursue it
We are here for a family thing, for the record. 😉
Sounds like fun! Enjoy!
Say hi to Occupy Fairhope. There really was one.
