I can’t figure out which mystifies me more, that they decided to dream up a fake sex scandal in an attempt to take down a sitting Senator, or that they ended up dreaming up just about the least scandalous sex scandal possible.

If I were Menendez I’d sue for defamation. The legal standard is higher for public figures but this looks like a case that can easily meet that standard.

It was a rotten dirty trick and hopefully there were security cameras in the local bar. Tucker couldn’t possibly be so foolish as to travel there himself, but on the other hand, arrogance is a demanding trait.

For some time now I have been concluding that political, social and economic analysis of Republicans, “conservatives” and right wingers is irrelevant. I think the proper analytic tools are psychological and psychiatric. I can’t quite find the words to express my thoughts on this subject but I’m sensing it has something to do with GOP sexuality combined with GOP arrogance. I put Tucker’s trust that the women wouldn’t tell the police, if asked, that they were paid in the same category as all the pro rape comments like “rape is a gift from god” during the 2012 election.
