This news will truly mess-up President Obama’s schedule in the coming months. If this breaking news is true, the brothers are most likely affiliated with Al-Qaeda who were “destroyed” by the Russian army .. almost. Blow-back very similar I have talked about in the past year. These guys are trained terrorrists looking for the weakest link in the chain. In Syria, European nations and Australia are getting their bit from nationals traveling and fighting with Al-Qaeda forces under banner of Al-Nusra Front in Aleppo.
AP: Surviving Boston bomb suspect identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, age 19
WATERTOWN, Mass. – APRIL 19, 2013 (WPVI) — The Associated Press says the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect has been identified. The AP reports that man is 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Also, citing sources, the AP says the suspects are from a Russian region near Chechnya and lived in the U.S. at least 1 year. In another report, AP says the suspects are brothers.
(Independent) – Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appears to been educated at at a Cambridge high school before receiving a scholarship to pursue higher education in 2011. His name appears on a list of 45 recipients of the Cambridge City Scholarship, handed to students from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
Mr Davis earlier described Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as the ‘white hat suspect,’ referring to a man seen in video footage released by the FBI late last night of people they believed to be involved in the marathon bombing.
In a news conference, Mr Davis said: “We believe this to be a terrorist. We believe this to be a man who has come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody.”
Police say Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is believed to be wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. He is white with dark hair and appears to be in his twenties.
Colonel Timothy Alben, superintendent of Massachusetts State Police said: “We believe these are the same individuals that were responsible for the bombing on Monday of the Boston marathon. We believe they are responsible for the death of an MIT police officer and the shooting of an MBTA officer.”
(RT News – updated) – The first suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing, who was shot dead in a firefight with the police, is allegedly Tamerlan Tsarnaev, an older brother of the suspect at large.
He is said to be from Chechnya, who fled to the US as a refugee. Tamerlan fled Chechnya with his family because of the conflict in the early 90s, when he reportedly was about five years old. He is said to have lived for years in Kazakhstan before heading to the United States as a refugee.
However, despite spending the most of his life in America, he claimed not have “a single American friend.” “I don’t understand them,” reads one of the captions to the set pictures of Tamerlan, which RT managed to find online.
In 2009 he was put under arrest for beating his girlfriend, who described him in one interview as a “very nice man,” according to the City of Cambridge Police Department.
A passionate fan of boxing, he spent a lot of time training for competitions, according to Johannes Hirn, who posted a photo essay entitled ‘Will Box for Passport’ on his page on Photoshelter.com.
Competing for New England in 2010 National Golden Gloves completion in Utah, Tamerlan Tsarnaev dreamed of being “selected for the US Olympic team and be [a] naturalized American.” “Unless his native Chechnya becomes independent, Tamerlan says he would rather compete for the United States than for Russia,” reads the caption to one of the pictures that shows Tamerlan during his workout.
As a competitive boxer for a Team Lowell club, Tamerlan won the Rocky Marciano Trophy for as New England Golden Gloves heavyweight champion in 2010. According to the captions, besides boxing, Tamarlan studied at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston.

My earlier diary – Boston Suspect #1 Dead, Lockdown & Manhunt in Watertown, Mass.
AP sources identify the surviving Boston bomber as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. The man is said to be from Russia’s south, not far from the Chechen Republic. The man reportedly lived in Turkey before arriving legally in the US at least a year ago. The second suspect is said to be his brother Tamerlan, 26.
The uncle is doing his best to look and sound like an American, didn’t see it coming. Nevertheless, his brother is staying overseas (Chechnya or Dagestan?), sister-in-law Zubeidat Tsarnaeva was arrested last year and he hasn’t seen his nephews for a couple of years.
There was no chatter on the intelligence lines, so I do believe the brothers were loners, became losers and radicalized while living in Cambridge. The older brother clearly had sympathy for extremist Islam – see my diary.
In the interview to ABC, Anzor Tsarnaev confessed he talked with his son about the bombing earlier this week.
The father of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Anzor Tsarnaev, says his son, who still remains at large, is “accomplished medical student” and “a true angel”. He spoke from the city of Makhachkala, capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan, shortly after police said his other son, 26-year-old Tamerlan, had been killed in a shootout.
“We talked about the bombing. I was worried about them,” he said.
Anzor Tsarnaev called on his son to give up peacefully. At the same time he warned that if the US kills his son, “all hell will break loose”.
The uncle lied about the birthplace of the brothers, claimed they are not Chechyan but are from Kyrgystan. From RT article, they fled Chechnya, stayed a year or so in Dagestan and moved to Kyrgystan in 2001 before traveling to the US as a refugee.
Someone pointed out in the video, there is a woman in yellow with backpack following the two men … an accomplish? The sister of the brothers refused an interview with the press.
