I have some advice for the Quad City Times. I understand your desire to replace Brent Bozell as one of your syndicated columnists, considering the fact that he wasn’t even the one writing his columns. But replacing Mr. Bozell with George Will is like trading a cerebral hemorrhage for a lobotomy.
If you must have a new conservative columnist, pick someone who isn’t calling climate change a hoax because medieval times…
Mr. Will is smarter than that. Why should you pay him to lie to your readers?
Also, if you choose someone from the National Review, you will almost inevitably have to drop them later when their racism causes you shame. In fact, if you Google “National Review racist,” you get 42,700,000 results. This is not an accident.
McCain’s like, “God dammit, why hasn’t he bombed Iran and Syria yet? I’d already be on my third round of bombers over Ukraine and Venezuela by now!”
God wrote the Constitution:
God must be on vacation because he didn’t vomit on the set of that TV show.
Shouldn’t he be praying he’s not still in a jail cell?
So God wrote the 3/5 Compromise?
On the other hand, Taibbi joins EmptyWheel over at Greenwald’s new venture. That’s quite the lineup over there now.
If you must have a new conservative columnist, pick someone who isn’t calling climate change a hoax because medieval times…
And you’d suggest …. ?
Quite seriously, I don’t think there is a conservative pundit left who’ll challenge the Fossil Fuel industry on this – at least publicly – just as you won’t find a GOP politician who will do so.
Oh I know. You’ll tell me there are GOP pundits like David Frum – formally excommunicated from the movement and no longer considered a conservative by those who call themselves that. And maybe you’ll mention a politician like Jon Huntsman, unable to get 1% in the last round of primaries.
