   Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) on Thursday evoked half-century-old images of school segregation, accusing Attorney General Eric Holder of attempting to “stand in the schoolhouse door” to stop minority and low-income students from attending charter schools.

   “We’ve got Eric Holder and the Department of Justice trying to stand in the schoolhouse door to prevent minority kids, low-income kids, kids who haven’t had access to a great education, the chance to go to better schools,” Jindal said.

   Well, if Michele Bachmann can claim that her white christian ass is protecting the “Jewish state” of Israel against American Jews acting like Nazis, no reason why a first generation Indian-American can’t claim that the African-American Barack Obama and Eric Holder are like George Wallace in 1963 blocking blacks from public education and it’s Jindal standing up for the education of young black Americans.

   What made Jindal’s asinine comment particularly rich is that he apparently hasn’t learned how to use the Google. Stand in the Schoolhouse Door:

   On June 11, [1963] [Vivian] Malone and Hood arrived to register. Wallace, attempting to uphold his promise as well as for political show, blocked the entrance to Foster Auditorium with the media watching.

   Vivian Malone Jones.  Vivian’s sister is Dr. Sharon Malone who is married to Attorney General Eric Holder.
