Not surprisingly, states that did not expand Medicaid or set up their own health exchanges did worse at lowering their uninsured rate. This is actually what they wanted, for whatever perverse reasons.

(shrug) if they ever choose to value their own well-being over their hatred of the black guy, they’ll vote like it.
it’s 100% their choice. electorates get, what electorates vote for. i wish them the best with their own free choices.
i’m just glad those of us in states with responsible electorates are no longer held back by the glue-sniffing hate-mongering electorate states.
With all that has been going on I wonder how long before the American people decide they have had enough and deport ALL of the GOP?

The other stats that will be interesting to see as a consequence of the divide between Red State ACA and Blue State Obamacare will be the hospital revenue and closure rates.
Those reduced DSH funds with no reduction in the number uninsured people showing up at hospital emergency rooms will lead to a lot of screaming from hospital administrators.
Hopefully Dems will point out in the Fall that the choices Rep made for their state translates into their state’s tax dollars going to fund the Medicaid in other states because they didn’t claim what was rightfully theirs.
Instead they will probably apologize that their voters lost their crappy no-pay insurance rip-off policies. Democrats have a long history of being tone deaf to Main Street.
Honestly, I think the only way a lot of the bigots and fever swampers are ever going to wake up is if they lose the Federal tit they suck on.
Medicare, Medicaid and SS should all be up for a Referendum in each state, individually. Vote if you want to keep it or if you want to get rid of it. States that vote to keep it get to keep it.
Good Republican states that vote to end it then don’t pay taxes into it, and also don’t get to access it. They can cry to the Republican super majorities in their states.
And I’m living in a shit-hole Dixie state.
Sometimes I feel like liberals are just enabling dumbfuck conservative morons to continue voting Republican without it totally affecting their lives.
It’s time for an intervention.
