Wow. Over 100 murders in the last five years can be tied to Stormfront.
“Though on any given day, fewer than 1,800 registered members log on to Stormfront, and less than half of the site’s visitors even reside in the United States, a two-year study by the Intelligence Report shows that registered Stormfront users have been disproportionately responsible for some of the most lethal hate crimes and mass killings since the site was put up in 1995. In the past five years alone, Stormfront members have murdered close to 100 people. The Report’s research shows that Stormfront’s bias-related murder rate began to accelerate rapidly in early 2009, after Barack Obama became the nation’s first black president.
For domestic Islamic terrorists, the breeding ground for violence is often the Al Qaeda magazine Inspire and its affiliated websites. For the racist, it is Stormfront.”
So, fewer than 900 Americans visit Stormfront on any given day, but they’ve collectively managed to kill 100 people in the last five years. If the NSA wants to do something useful…

Interestingly enough, both Papa and Baby Doc have links to Stormfront members, have posed with them for pictures and have accepted donations from them. I think this should be remembered when we get the next round of “No true Paulite” claims about how libertarians are not racists and not deeply committed to maintaining white male privilege whenever and wherever they can.
Yes, but Rand broke his ties to the Southern Avenger almost a whole year ago! How could you even think he’s a crypto-secessionist?
When you’ve lost Pete Wehner…. let’s just say that the case for the defense isn’t looking too hopeful:

“To read through Mr. Hunter’s work is to journey into a very ugly and angry world. And here’s the thing: It’s a world that wasn’t hidden or shrouded in secrecy. As I pointed out in my previous post, Mr. Hunter’s words were on the public record, in his name, before he joined Rand Paul’s staff. And, for that matter, before he joined the Ron Paul presidential campaign. Senator Paul’s people had to know what they were dealing with, and what they were getting, in Jack Hunter. And when Senator Paul says he only knew “vaguely” about Hunter’s writings, what does that mean? It’s not as if what Hunter was writing about African Americans, slavery, the Confederacy, Lincoln, Booth, and all the rest were minor parts of Hunter’s oeuvre.”
And another little dose of just what Rand Paul snuggled up to under those lilywhite libertarian sheets:

“Chris Haire, Hunter’s former editor at the Charleston City Paper, wrote this:
While a member of the City Paper’s stable of freelancers, Jack wrote in support of racially profiling Hispanics, praised white supremacist Sam Francis, blasted the House of Representative’s apology for slavery, claimed that black people should apologize to white people for high crime rates, defended former Atlanta Braves pitcher and racist John Rocker and Charleston County School District board member Nancy Cook after she said some mothers should be sterilized, argued that Islam was an innately dangerous threat to the U.S, professed that he would have voted for a member a British neo-Nazi political party if he could have, considered endorsing former Council of Conservative Citizens member Buddy Witherspoon in his bid to unseat Sen. Lindsey Graham, compared Abraham Lincoln to Adolf Hitler and Ike Turner, and continued to profess the erroneous claim that the primary cause of the Civil War was not the fight over slavery, ignoring the decades of American history leading up to war and South Carolina’s very own Declaration of the Immediate Causes for Secession, which clearly note that protecting slavery was the preeminent motivation of state leaders. “
Personally, I’d argue that allowing Jack Hunter in the same building as you, never mind making him your media guru, was evidence of a boneheaded stupidity so obvious and so extreme that Rand Paul should be considered as having preemptively disqualified himself from consideration as a serious candidate for the office of dogcatcher in the village of Diddlysquat, never mind the presidency. But hey, freedom and all that glibertarian mood music.
Exactly. Just like Christ Christie with his bridge, if your best defense is basically that you’re completely incompetent, you have a serious problem.
All they have to do is claim the murders are motivated by a sincerely held religious conviction. Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin will come rushing to their defense.
I’ll say this again. If you are African American this country has always had lots of terrorists. Americans need to own that or we never will become a democracy. That Princeton study, only says we are not now a democracy; it should be saying we never were…not before the 13th Amendment; not before the 19th Amendment; not during the incarceration of the Neisi American citizens, not before the Equal Rights Amendment…
ZOINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Conservative Christians are worried about Sharia Law and abortion?!?!?!?!?!?!
Of course, they’re jealous of Sharia Law, because it’s exactly what THEY would enact in this country, if they got power.
Right here!!!
Stormfront offed only 100 people? A mere bagatelle. Of course those killings should not have happened and of course the murderers should be brought to justice. (If such a rarefied concept as “justice” still exists in the United States of Omertica.) But…can we even begin to count the number of people who have died at the hands of U.S. overt and covert military operations during the same time period? The number of lives and families that have been ruined? I doubt it. Not really. It’s classified. Bet on it. If the NSA were to do something truly “useful,” it would bug the back rooms and communication lines where the really big crimes are planned and then make that information public.
Oh.
Wait a minute!!!
The NSA is complicit in these crimes!!!
I forgot. (But I do not forgive.)
Nevermind.
Yore freind…

But, but but..Fox told me that those evil meanies in the
ObamaBush administration that said we had to beware of right-wing terrorism were all wrong and islamofascisocialisthippies who should be shot, or at the very least punched a lot!After being upset and deeply concerned over this report, also had to recognize that it conforms to my bias that anger and hate fuels more anger and hate and leads to violence. While 100 murders over five years committed by such a small number of Stormfront readers is nothing to dismiss, the number is inflated by the Norway-Nazi mass murderer. Then there is the uncomfortable fact that USians are violent. Committing 16,259 homicide in 2010 and two million assaults resulting in emergency room visits. Extremely likely that the murderers of twenty people every year engage in a common behavior that intuitively would seem to promulgate homicidal rage.
You know the security guards who want to be policemen? Well, now imagine the guy who runs a cash register at Walmart’s and wants to be a security guard. Now imagine that his dad warned him from age three that his miserable life is caused by Jews and black people.
At some time in each of our lives we look for a unifying theory that explains the world around us. Many seek through religion. Some through politics, art, whatever. It’s generally a rather underdeveloped intellect that chooses racism and white power as guiding principles.
That said, there are plenty of smart people who know how to use these folks.
I keep remembering the poem by WH Auden about Hitler:
Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,
And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;
When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter,
And when he cried the little children died in the streets.
Shocked! SHOCKED! I say!!
