Almost the entire world is united in thinking that Nouri al-Maliki needs to step down as the Prime Minister of Iraq, but he doesn’t care. I don’t think his resignation will create some kind of magic solution to the problems in Iraq, but no can get started trying to solve the problems there until Maliki steps down. At this point, he’s just prolonging everyone’s agony.
