It seems like yesterday, but it’s been sixteen years since Greg Maddox and Tom Glavine introduced the Chicks Dig the Long Ball concept.
What chicks don’t dig is the Republican Party:
A detailed report commissioned by two major Republican groups — including one backed by Karl Rove — paints a dismal picture for Republicans, concluding female voters view the party as “intolerant,” “lacking in compassion” and “stuck in the past.”
Women are “barely receptive” to Republicans’ policies, and the party does “especially poorly” with women in the Northeast and Midwest, according to an internal Crossroads GPS and American Action Network report obtained by POLITICO. It was presented to a small number of senior aides this month on Capitol Hill, according to multiple sources involved.
Also, conservative comedians aren’t funny.
Katie Packer Gage, a political strategist who focuses on improving GOP standing with female voters: “We have to quit sitting back and taking it on the chin. I think we have to play offense on this.”
What part of “your ideas suck” do you not understand?
The G̶e̶n̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶T̶r̶a̶i̶t̶o̶r̶ ̶T̶o̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶S̶h̶i̶l̶l̶ woman is a strategist, so she has to have a strategy to keep getting paid.
Republican solution: Repeal the 15th and 19th Amendments. We all know that “wins” based on minority and/or female votes don’t count. Only good hard working American white male votes are legitimate. That’s what the founding fathers knew. The constitution (as originally drafted) is like the bible — infallible. The world was created in 6 days too. And you should listen to your husbands and sleep with an aspirin between your knees until given away by your father to your husband. Right ladies? What’s not to like?
End Female Suffrage!
“Also, conservative comedians aren’t funny.”
I do not know about conservative comedians, but I do know that ALL of the TPGOPers are nothing but big JOKES when it comes to real working policies.
The party does especially poorly with women in the Northeast and Midwest? What about the entire West Coast? Or indeed anywhere other than the former Confederacy?
