Paul Hansbury is a musician and singer who I guarantee you’ve never heard, unless you spent a lot of time in Northampton MA back in the 1990s. He’s only put out two albums, and both are wonderful collections of twangy, whimsical, and often quite tender goodness. Here’s a video I made for “Your Best Friend”, which you can find on Talking to the Dogs, his second album.
Hopefully, the embed will only be the video, but youtube seems intent on sharing my entire playlist, which means you may also see a lot of my Scrapple TV work as well. And my kid’s book report.
Fun song. I’ll play it on my radio show on the community station here in Boulder (kgnu.org 3-5:30am Fri). Hope Mr. Hansbury doesn’t mind; I don’t see this song on the album you mention.
this one is on the first album, Girls Allowed. It’s also really good. Some of the highlights of GA are “Parking Valet” and “Jackie and John”.
