Love how the grayscale really brings out the texture of the stone in each of those images.
I agree the texture seems to pop with b&w.

The glass is good use of the black and white in color. I like the linear and curved aspect. Nice set, as always. 😉
Lovely set, all of them — especially the chihuly.
We went to see a showing of some items from theTerracotta Army a few weeks ago at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
In spite of the fact that many thousands of items have been excavated. The main tomb has not been opened yet.
Every one of the thousands of faces is unique.
Helmet
A water garden was burried for the Emperor’s enjoyment too.
Great shots, and a neat exhibit. There was a traveling show about 20 years ago “The Imperial Tombs Of China” that had some of the terracotta warriors as part of the show. I’ve still got the catalog in my library.
Nicely captured Jim — love the helmet shot especially. Sounds like a wonderful exhibit. Glad you were able to experience it!
Love your set Bob — agree with Andi and Jim about the b&w and the textures. Looking forward to what you bring for next theme as your images always have wonderful colour.
I was away this w/e for Thanksgiving, so a bit late. Here’s one for the flog:
