Today was the first day of hunting season here. Dogs inside all day yet with red tshirts on. Surrounded by hunters on 3 sides of the property. It’s dusk now and I just caught one trying to drive through property. The local gas station attendant informed me that a mother bear was winged but not killed and hunters were tracking her down to finish the job. She left behind two cubs. Another hunter brought his son along for his first shoot. Just as he lined up a good buck a 2nd hunter shot from the brush uphill from them. The kid said he could feel the rush from the bullit brush the air above him.
Town is filled with drinking hunters and this year they seem quite comfortable strutting through town with their guns slung over their shoulders.
I’m sorry your friend was lost to violence, we live in broken times.
Thanks for the report. Troubling that even game hunters, the ones that were never in danger of losing their precious guns, have been emboldened to exhibit increased blood lust.
Appears as if he was a bystander in a non-consensual relationship break-up. The most dangerous time for a woman when she leaves a spouse/SO. Why safe-houses are so important.
You’re right. I’m a divorce attorney. There are three ways out of a relationship. Ending the relationship, murder or suicide. The latter two are unusual but by no means unheard of. Human emotion being what it is and the fact that so many folks are messed up. It’s all so tragic.
