Shameless Self-Promotion: Virginia Tour

Looks like I woke up before BooMan, so here’s a little shameless self-promotion to go with your morning coffee. I’m heading south in a couple of hours for an all-too brief tour through Virginia and West Virginia with April Mae and the June Bugs. Tonight we’re at the Folk Club of Reston Herndon, then heading west to Thomas West Virginia for a Thursday night show at the Purple Fiddle, one of my favorite venues (and towns) to visit. If I was going to run away and write that great American novel, I’d hole up in Thomas, population less than 600 (but enough that they have a great brewpub). Tour closes on Friday night at the Bright Box Theatre in Winchester VA. I hope some of you are conveniently located and can make it out. If you do, please come and say hello!

And now, some music. If I look a little confused, it’s because it was my second gig with these folks, and I’d just learned this song.

Open thread, at least until BooMan gets up…
