   O, Holy Night by Mahalia Jackson

   Sigh. These songs always bring the spirit of Christmas to me.

       Mahalia Jackson… Amazing.

       As a kid I remember her rendition of “Abide with me”.  When I googled it, this came back on YouTube.  This is exactly the album and version I knew as a kid some 40 years ago.  Wow.  Thanks internet.

   While it sounds lovely, if you listen to the lyrics it is pretty coercive.  I do like both singers, so that is not my issue.
