Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day! Take the day off and live like a Queen. Too bad it’s not everyday.
Today, I have to go to the funeral visitation of a family friend who gave the eulogy at my father’s funeral. She was only 61 years old. We lost a good Democratic politician who always thought of the little people before herself. Luckily, she taught Political Science classes, passing on the true meaning of democracy to many students.
The good die young.
Voice, that’s the truth.
Remember that comment I made regarding Coumadin on your post The Systemic Problem of the Information Asymmetry?
it was personal. My mother died…she lived a good, long, full life but she still had more in her…from Coumadin and its poisonous properties. I tried to warn her, but it was too late…the doctors already had their talons in too deeply.
So it goes.
Happy Mother’s Day, all. Try to warn them about the U.S. Big Med and Big Insurance scam before it’s too late.

Hey, Booman, you got a shout out today for your political chops on Mark Thoma’s economic blog, Economist’s View.
I don’t see anything like that over there.
Was in a Comments section. Carried a link to your Landslide post.
You too, BooMan.
It’s been 8 years since I lost my mother.
Last October, I lost my last Aunt on either side.
So, this was the first Mother’s Day where I didn’t buy a card for an Elder.
That sorta hit me harder than I thought.
Thinking of the years with my mother, her sisters, and my father’s sister
I know how you feel.
Me too, my mother passed six years ago.
