Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Victorian mansion. I am using the photo seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 5×7 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I’ve continued to refine the mansion. I’ve added another layer of paint to each of the various elements. The brick now appears as a solid reddish/pinkish color. The brick in shadow is red. Shadows and windows are now a deep blue. The roof has received a layer of purplish paint. Paint has also been added to the foundation and lawn.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
The cafe is open.
nice!
Getting to see these each weekend has been a highlight for me each week.
Thanks. It helps to have a very good subject.
It’s coming along nicely. So, when will the happy trees make it onto the canvas? 🙂
Thanks. Coming along shortly but not that one in front.
You are of course allowed some artistic license. 🙂
Love your interpretation of the beautiful house! I enjoy seeing how you break down the planes of light and color in your work. This one is a dandy!
I’m working on a portrait of my oldest son. It’s a bit of a challenge, but I like it so far.
