At this rate it’s a wonder we haven’t been conquered by Paraguay or had some adversary destroy the Pacific fleet.

The world is losing cumulative IQ points by the minute.
The US and the UK may be the prime examples but it’s not limited to them.
The stupidity seems be only exceeded by the laziness, particularly among the media and political / economic elites.
A base canard on Paraguay. The Paraguayan military is excellent … from MSGT down.
Their officer corps leaves much to be desired.
Who will defend Paraguay if not you?
Our poor-man’s Mussolini is more in the mold of a preposterous banana republic strongman than a world-historic authoritarian. Let’s just say that Der Fuhrer read the Wehrmacht’s daily briefing book(s), haha! You’d think that a completely unqualified know-nothing lamebrain who found himself shuffling aimlessly around the Oval Office and WH presidential suite would be somewhat curious about the plethora of national security details/secrets being revealed to him (in writing) daily, circa 2018, but Der Trumper is incurious about even this.
It’s a different story with Fox & Fools, which he wouldn’t dream of missing, but that’s not reading, either. So TV watching and (desperate attempts at) oral instruction are his “style of learning”. Fine, but not exactly what a functioning country would expect of its chief executive and “commander in chief”. It’s a perfect fit for the CEO of FailedNation, Inc. and its incompetent white electorate, however.
Since Trumper is a juvenile man of very limited intelligence, sustained reading is a profoundly painful activity for him, as he likely learned in adolescence. No attention span, no knowledge base, no interest in reality, a functionally retarded vulgarian. He almost certainly gave up any kind of reading decades ago.
My suspicion is that he grew up with a reading disability which wasn’t understood or diagnosed back then, let alone treated. Combine it with insulating wealth and his inherent character flaws, and there’s our god-emperor.
link only, since ag’s egregious abuses of it apparently cost the rest of us the embed option, or so I’ve surmised, without rebuttal.
Second link same as first link.
(just a link in my chain of surmise)
Embedded YouTube, embedded tweets – all gone. I know that BT was down for a significant part of a weekend a couple months back, and that some form of security to prevent future attacks against it was needed. Still, Sucuri should be able to whitelist those basic sort of embedded links. If we’re being collectively punished because of one poster’s dickish behavior, I’m going to be more than a little pissed off.
Slight correction:
YouTube embedded vids are still possible, but you have to put in the work yourself to make it happen.
Personally not a fan of Woody Allen (haven’t been since sometime in the 1990s) but that is a good clip.
managed it, or ag might read it and be back to even more awful and annoying and boring and tiresome and clueless and dumb and wrong than he is now . . . which is sayin’ sumthin’!
Wait three minutes…
Why worry? Trump is like, a smart person. He knows more than the generals and has all the best words.
He’s also a stable genius, with big hands, mind you, who doesn’t need to read anything because of his good genes and awesome brainpower, much more bigly than the Kenyan Usurper or Crooked Hillary.
He doesn’t read them because he doesn’t understand them. So ‘reading’ them is useless anyway.
Honestly if he forgets this stuff it might be dealt with by people who are half capable.
Compounding the problem of not receiving a full briefing is his penchant for feeding his ignorance with FOX so he won’t just be uninformed but malinformed.
Now that his secretary has left the building one has to wonder who’s doing the culling of any information he receives.
the Navy’s Pacific fleet is currently its own worst enemy. that’s the area with the admirals taking bribes from contractors, and where last year two ships collided with merchant vessels. In one of those cases the report stated that the officers and sailors on watch didn’t know how to steer their ship.
Also the pacific fleet was doing a good job of wrecking itself with all those accidents last year.
They’re just trying to avoid another Pearl Harbor, MNPundit. Convince our enemies that we are incompetent and thus save them the trouble of needing to attack us.
BRILLIANT!!!
Come to think of it, maybe that’s the secret of Trump’s ascension to power as well.
HMMMmmmm…
AG
I think you’re intended tone is ironic, but this is exactly the risk we are running. Don’t discount non-state actors identifying a weakness and holding it over us, either.
Of course, the Trumper Regime would welcome any significant terrorist attack. The Bushco years famously demonstrated not just that there is no political accountability for colossal Repub security/military incompetence, but actual political reward.
A terror attack turns Trumper from a third rate scoundrel into a hee-roic Wartime Leader of Destiny….only treasonous lib’ruls could disagree!
Expecting Sept 11 replay? Maybe not.
Maybe someone will seize control of the electronic infrastructure of the finance system. Or military communications.
Then what? Instead of James Bond, we have Jared Kushner.
I went to the linked Washingtoon Post article, Booman.
So…which part of the false news should I believe? He’s either a shallow fool who prefers an oral update (There’s a joke in there somewhere…) from the intelligence services whose rank and file have shown a great deal of hostility to his presidency, or someone who:
“…is an avid consumer of intelligence, appreciates the hard work of his briefers and of the entire intelligence community and looks forward every day to the give and take of his intelligence briefings.”
and
“…routine sessions with senior intelligence advisers ‘demonstrate his interest in and appreciation for the value of the intelligence provided. In fact, President Trump engages for significantly longer periods than I understand many previous presidents have done.’ “
Personally, if I was in his shoes I also would prefer briefings. That way I’d never have to take my eyes off on the intelligence people. I’d also wear a bulletproof vest and have several trusted bodyguards in the room at all times.
Personally, I cannot bring myself to believe…nor disbelieve…any of this bullshit. It is all fiction, an inch deep and a mile wide.
A TV soap opera run amok.
As my best friend often says when she is out of words about the unbelievable, be it unbelievable stupidity at the checkout counter or unbelievable stupidity at the highest levels of government…
I do not know exactly what it means…it certainly doesn’t mean “World Hindu Economic Forum”…but maybe that’s the point. Once there is no more truth, there is only…
WHEF!!!
