I take a special political junkie-type pleasure out of seeing Spiro Nixon’s lawyer advise the president that he’d be an idiot not to resign.

Spiro Nixon?
A third cousin!
The result of a weird genetic experiment.
Too late. SDNY already have their teeth into this.
He sees the same thing I’ve been saying. Trump’s vulnerability is the complicity of his family. He might be willing to sacrifice Jared – not a blood relative – but not Ivanka or Junior.
Jared and Ivanka will never go to jail. Both will escape to Israel.
“NO COLLUSION!!!!” Resignation is for LOSERS!, as we all know.
As a colossal demented megalomaniac, it’s very hard to imagine Der Trumper being willing to take such advice or subject himself to the fantastic personal and historic humiliation that resignation would entail, least of all to save his family of numbskulls, sycophants and half-wits. Twits of the Year each and every one. And certainly not to help out the Repub party!
So Trumper will have to be physically removed from the WH like secretary of war Edwin Stanton, ha-ha. Indeed, I’d not be surprised if a new series of limited access bunkers are being constructed under the WH, ala the Fuhrer Bunker. Perhaps it can be sold to his beloved deplorables as the MAGA Bunker…
“Downfall” is of course the must-see film of the Trumper Era–no resignation possible for Uncle Adolph. But Der Trumper is making sure that no Russian tanks ever enter Berlin….that’s the lesson he took from the movie!
Say what you like about Hitler, but at least he killed Hitler.
.
Trump and his crime family know their personal Q-ratings and media net worth as the Martyrs of MAGA is exponentially greater if they force us to thrown them out than if they quit.
Q-ratings and net worth mean nothing if one gets the Mussolini treatment.
If this was about American politics and power as understood by your average political junkie I’d agree with Nixon….but he’s talking to a bunch of amoral, unsophisticated, greedy low level grifters who simply don’t give a shit about place their current hold beyond how it can be used to benefit them personally.
Worse, they know they control the media and at least a third of the nation’s voters. This is just another Manhattan condo scam to Trump and his progeny. So they just keep moving forward, admit nothing, project on everyone else, and lie about everything because when it IS enough they’ll have slipped out the back door.
. . . your friend! (Ours, too, if you’d just use it.)

Hunh??? I’ve read that at least a half-dozen times now, and still can’t even come up with a plausible hypothesis for what you were trying to express there, especially given the bolded bit.
Please consider the burden to be on yourself to make sense rather than putting it on readers to guess at what you were trying to say (without ever having any assurance that we’ve guessed correctly).
. . . Spiro Nixon(!*) lawyer London’s estimation that
Especially in light of what we do already “know” (but caveat).
*I wondered if that was intentional, maybe some clever wordplay to indicate London had repped both Nixon and Agnew, or something. But no, nothing at the link suggests that.
Speaking of the link [rant warning], The Hill has got to be the most annoying website design ever — and that’s sayin’ sumthin’, a whole lotta sumthin’. Windows, including auto-play videos, constantly popping up in front of what you’re trying to read, without even the courtesy of a tiny “x” in the corner you could eventually find (after a lot of hunting) and click to tell the stupid pop-up to “get the fuck outa my face”! It took closing and re-opening the link in Firefox then, when that didn’t do it, opening it in Edge instead to finally make it all the way through that relatively short article. Arrgghh! Gotta figure out how to get around whatever it is in Firefox that’s keeping me from re-installing Adblock Plus (boy was I foolish to ever un-install it!).
to circumvent most ads, in general, after the text matter initially loads, i always hit command-period and/or escape to cancel further page loading. even if it doesn’t work the first time, you can always hit page reload and try hitting cancel sooner. more aggressive pages i cease to visit.
The donald only leaves after the enablers in the WH are gone. Sanders might be the canary in the mine. If she stops showing up for the daily brief and no one replaces her.
Uhh…guys, should we tell him?
he may be preaching to the wrong choir …
