Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Chincoteague shingle style house painting. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 6×6 inch canvas.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
There are many changes for this week’s cycle. Under the eaves of the roof I’ve added the rafter ends. On the right side I have revised the two bushes. Below, the fence has also been completed. On the left, I’ve revised the house next door as well as the shadowed bush. Finally, I’ve overpainted the lawn.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
Bring it.
I ended up driving one of the kiddos to a birthday party today. Meant going into the foothills of a nearby southern mountain range. The lakes and lakefront scenery was beautiful this late summer afternoon. Should have taken some photos. Maybe later once fall foliage season comes our way.
Old Town Placentia at sunset:
You can still find plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants. Prices tend to be reasonable, and the dining is exceptional.
Looks very nice. I hope you weren’t driving at the time of the photo. 😉
Merely a passenger. One of my relatives was doing the driving. Freed me up to do what I enjoy the most. 🙂
I used to live a few miles from there, right next to Esperanza High School, which is in Anaheim (Anaheim Hills north of 91), but inside the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District. I don’t think I ever drove down that part of Santa Fe back then, but now I wish I had. Thanks for sharing.
No worries. I had some wonderful lunch conversations with college friends in old town Placentia over cervesa and some excellent food many moons ago. I have fond memories of those days. Thankfully there are relatives who will indulge me a bit when I visit.
