Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the eastern shore Virginia Gothic house. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 6×6 inch canvas.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I didn’t get done what I would have like but there is some progress. Note the upper level siding and window trim. Above, I’ve added the trim below the roof. Below, the telephone pole shadow now carries to the ground.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
Open it is.
The creative process is more of a marathon than a sprint. Always good to see the updates.
Definitely a marathon, that lasts weeks.
The view from Bimhuis in Amsterdam.
Very nice!
One welcome change I have noticed is that some of the cities I visit are much more vocal about celebrating their diversity. This fixture just appeared in the past year in Tampa. Let’s hope that assuming we survive the Dolt 45 era, that civic commitment to diversity and inclusiveness continues – not only symbolically but also tangibly.
That is unexpected, and cool.
Wasn’t there in 2017. It definitely made the space look a bit nicer. Loved the message behind that one.
