Hello music lovers:
I have some vintage New Order to start things off. Hopefully your week is going well. I am blogging from Tampa this week. Always love to visit, even if it is a work thing. So music with a little energy – whether happy or on the darker edgier side – is inevitably a good thing.
Apparently, Uber now has scooters for rent. You can’t miss people zipping around on those things around the downtown. I am almost tempted to try one, but that could be dangerous for everyone involved. So, shoe leather express for me this go around.

The jukebox is loaded with everything from practically every era. How we fit all those sound files in that thing remains a mystery. The bartender is mixing something cool. I’ll check in from time to time.
Cheers!
The cafe/lounge is open! Hope everyone is having a good week.
“The bartender is mixing something cool.”
Yes, I am. Since yesterday was Cognac Day and today is Moonshine Day, I will be posting recipes that alternate between the two ingredients. I’m starting with cognac by mixing the Cognac Old Fashioned.

Now for the moonshine recipe, Jolly Rancher Moonshine.

It’s time to return to a cognac recipe, so here’s Hennything is Possible.

Since today is National Rosé Day, I’m passing on the moonshine recipe and going directly to a rosé concocktion, Frozé.

Anyone planning on watching this new Scorcese film about Bob Dylan’s stranger 1975 American tour?
If it’s on Netflix, I most likely will.
I think it looks pretty interesting.
In 1990, I went to see a show in SoCal with B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Lee Hooker, Joe Cocker and Dr. John.
With the passing of Dr. John, they are all dead now.
I caught that tour in Dallas. A month later, SRV was dead. I hate fucking helicopters.
That’s cool that you saw that tour too.
I remember that Vaughn died very soon thereafter.
Here’s something else I liked to do when I lived in L.A.
Visit the La Brea Tar Pits, which are getting a makeover.
The Great Lakes water level is super high.
We need some music.
Love this tune.
