As someone who consumes the news and then tries to provide additional value, I am floored by this latest scandal involving Rudy Giuliani. I feel like I’m drinking out of a firehose. How could I possibly take in all this incriminating information that is spilling out everywhere and quickly do it justice in a blog post?
My god! This is the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever seen in all my years of watching American politics. I don’t have the foggiest idea where to start. I know I am watching a thread unravel here but I think the hidden ball of yarn must be the size of China.
Giuliani is the single biggest moron I have ever seen in public life. He makes Trump look like a certified genius by comparison.
The most amazing part is that his co-pilot in all of this is William Barr, the attorney general of the United States. And Barr could do nothing but stand by and watch as these folks left having lunch with Giuliani and tried to flee the country to avoid testifying to Congress only to be apprehended and charged with laundering Russian money to Republican officeholders.
In this case, I am just going to let Twitter fill you in and hope I can get my arms around it by morning.
Two men who assisted the President’s lawyer were just arrested while trying to flee the country on charges that they laundered Russian money into Republican political campaigns.

Inbox: Chairmen Schiff, Cummings, and Engel have sent a letter conveying subpoenas to two business associates of Rudy Giuliani, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, for key documents by October 16, 2019 that they have refused to produce as part of the House's impeachment inquiry of Trump.

Weeks ago we requested info from two Giuliani associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.
They reportedly worked with Giuliani to pressure Ukraine for dirt on Trump's opponents.
Today we subpoenaed both for key documents. https://t.co/0ZygSnLzh1

Parnas was supposed to be headed to Capitol Hill right now for a deposition with House impeachment investigators. Fruman was to be tomorrow.
They helped Giuliani on the ground in Ukraine as he tried to gin up inquiries into the Bidens and a conspiracy about the 2016 election https://t.co/6kcE9Eh8d9

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman had lunch with Rudy Giuliani at the Trump hotel in Washington YESTERDAY, a source who saw them tells @nataliewsj. They were arrested later that night at Dulles, where they were awaiting an international flight. https://t.co/BzPwutU0Ie

This is it, folks. Russian money has been funding certain GOP leaders.
It was always there for those willing to connect the dots. https://t.co/0Tt78Bat7B

Giuliani's associates who were just arrested contributed to the Republican National Committee, Ron DeSantis, Rick Scott, Joe Wilson, Pete Sessions, Kevin McCarthy, and many, many more.
The entire Republican party is an organized crime syndicate. #GiulianiBehindBars

And, for good measure:
Unbelievable.
Ecuador is showing us what to do when a President needs to go.

Hopefully you can see why I feel a little paralyzed. And I’ve only scratched the surface here.
