Thanks for the flowers, Andi.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

After a nice brunch of boozy baked french toast, we did some yard and patio cleanup, and now the place is looking looking  much nicer.  We had dinner over at my mom’s, so it was a day full of food.  Oops.  ðŸ™‚

          Late reply. Apologies.

On Mother’s Day I spent a good deal of time trying to reach my mother at work; finally reached her. I planned on working on some ongoing projects here at the farm, but the wind howled, the trees rocked, the clouds rolled & I sat around in my socks, reading.
          Thank you for asking!

This is not the best way to let people know, but was the only way I could think of.  I found out today that the nerve damage I suffered is permanent and I will be handicapped for the rest of my life.  I am going to handle this with dignity and grace once the initial shock has worn off. I am not giving up just facing reality.  I guess walking like Tim Conway playing the old man will not be too bad.

We’ll take some of that rain.

We had a decent shower last night, but, as usual, we could always use more.

We have 11 thousand gallons worth of storage tanks for rain water, and we’re down to the last 2 thousand gallons of water in them.  A good couple of days rain will usually fill them both full.  Otherwise we have to have water delivered, at the rate of $100 per every 3,000 gallons.

Only a half step off?  I’m feeling more like a full marathon off. Not that being the slacker I am I would even thing of running a marathon, or for that matter walking one.  Now I could be driven through one, but then again I would have to get out of the recliner and go out to the car, open and shut the door and then fasten my seat belt.  Nah even that sounds like too much work.  ðŸ˜‰

Hope you get caught up on your day and are doing good.

Tell ya what Manny.  When I win the lottery, I’ll make sure to have summer and winter residences for all my friends to come to.  That way you’ll be able to escape the heat.  Just remember for now that air conditioning is you friend. 🙂

I’m sending as much slackerlyness as I can.  Can’t send a whole bunch though, because otherwise that would feel like work. :O)

Take care and hope things cool down for you.

Shaky wifi in NJ?  You should get you one of those telephone cards that Bill Curtis pushes on commercials.  From the sounds of it, you can be on the moon and still get great reception.  Yeah sure. 🙂
