Lieberman’s superdelegate status stripped.
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), who endorsed Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for president, will be disqualified as a superdelegate at the Democratic convention “under what is informally known as the Zell Miller rule.” In 2004, Miller — then a Democratic senator from Georgia — attacked Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) in a speech at the Republican National Convention. The DNC “responded with a rule disqualifying any Democrat who crosses the aisle from being a super delegate.” (HT: Firedoglake)
It’s about time the Democrats did something to call attention to that major traitor Holy Joe. Now if they will only strip him of his Chairmanships!
Let him go down the tube with McCain when the Dems take the White House.
They’re only doing this now?!!!
true enough, but it took the connecticut democratic chairwoman nancy dinardo to do it.
reid nor any other demoRAT, including hillary and obama, have said squat about it, to my knowledge.

Joe is sticking to McCain like a alterEGO. Why? Joe is Israel’s representative in the Senate, and McCain is only equal to Hillary in his support of anything the Israeli right wing engages in.
McCain can’t even get through an interview or a speech without mention of Israel’s security, meaning selecitive ignorance of its oppression of the Palestinian people, who, as we all know, are terrorists at heart rather than a people suffering a military occupation/colonization effort for 40 years.
Thank you Nancy DiNardo! I note this paragraph in the Current:
It burns me up every time I hear someone from NPR refer to Lieberman as an “Independent Democrat.” Lieberman tried to run under that designation in the 2006 general but rules forbade it; so he was elected in the “Connecticut for Lieberman” Party. Lieberman may be an Independent who caucuses with Democrats, but he does not represent the Democratic voters of Connecticut, who not only rejected him in their 2006 primary, but voted overwhelmingly in the general for the Democratic nominee. He’s been stabbing Connecticut Democrats in the back ever since.
