When I was young and played football, we celebrated victories by partying.
And when we partied, we played funky music: the Gap Band, Midnight Star, Prince.
Today, we saw the opposition get a major league whooping by Harry Reid and Dick Durbin.
It’s time to crank up the stereo.
So my question to you is, what is the best party band?
I’ll give a range in the poll for the different ages. Pick other and answer in the comments if your band is not listed.
And get back to work saving the country in the morning.
Let’s all celebrate and have a good time…it’s time to come together…
Every one around the world, come on!
Let’s celebrate
We’re gonna have a good time tonight.
Let’s celebrate.
It’s all right.
From my day (back in the 1980s) Fishbone and Red Hot Chili Peppers were definitely good party music bands. Both well worth catching live then too. Fishbone would break into a version of the Fat Albert theme song to end their set; RHC I still think of for their setting “Yertle the Turtle” to music, and of course for “Higher Ground”.
CCR – there’s always a good time with CCR at a party!
I’ll give a range in the poll for the different ages. Pick other and answer in the comments if your band is not listed.
There is no choice of “other” in that poll?
My choice would be:
Pink Floyd
Specifically the album
“Animals”.
I believe it sums up this administration and their followers perfectly.
So bring your good friends, and your laughter too
We gonna celebrate your party with you!
Tough call but either Boiled in Lead or Flogging Molly-I like a bit of Celtic madness when I celebrate and Bil has the best and most honest drinking song ever-Puking in the Heather.
I’ll demonstrate my age when I say that for me its Earth, Wind and Fire. I saw then in concert back in the 70’s and what a show they put on!! And whats worse, nothing gets me moving like “Shake Your Groove Thing” by Peaches and Herb. But then, as I’ve said before, NO ONE wants to be a witness to me shaking my groove thang!
