10pm and the 3rd cafe!!
That just proves that you’re the hostess with the mostess. How was the miniature food?
It was great! But, I just can’t eat like I used to. And we’ve got lots and lots of cheese stuff left.
It’s kind of frightening to think that last year, I would have eaten most of what’s completely untouched this year.
Mmmm….cheeeese. When I’m watching what I eat I think I miss cheese the most. Low fat cheese just doesn’t taste right, and who can stop at one serving of cheese, which is a one-inch cube!
It’s very weird. Cheese, my favorite food. But, I’ve been sitting here with a port wine cheesball & a block of gouda cheese — completely untouched!
It didn’t take much for me to be so stuffed that I can’t imagine eating anything else. I guess those itty-bitty hotdogs were more filling than they looked.
You were making crave cheese. I had to run and grab a piece of my son’s string cheese. ( and gobble it.)

Who’s happy this year is over. I am so excited for the NY, my move, my place is going to be perfect and I can’t wait till it’s all done and I have moved in..then I will post some pics.
I feel so much promise for the NY, many good things to come, for all, for the world…I predict..
Oh, forgot to say, could you drop by the village and say hi to shirl, she cannot load booman today and can’t come to this party….she has gone to a lot of work to decorate the place and if no one comes, well she will be sooooooo sad.

It’s so good to see you here in a fresh Cafe! I was afraid you were going to get the wrong idea of our habits. As if we never cleared the tables or did the dishes.
(And of course, we don’t do either. We just lock up the room and move into fresh quarters when we get too disgusted by the filth!)
Hi Katie, the cafe looks nice but the mascot or party favor above is a little turnoffish…..lol….
I love the transitory abilities of the cafe and in my mind it is always beautiful filled with the lovliest people..

I hope your positive attitude is contagious. I’m never glad to see an old year come to an end; it’s like listening to a clock ticking, knowing you can never get those seconds back. But I look forward to 2006 and the promise it holds.
a new year is just another day in the end of a circular event, signifies an ending and new beginning at the same time and that’s what makes it important, a time of renewal and regeneration, a possibility to create something wholly new, endless in it’s scope.

Very nice but obviously not nearly as exciting as yours. Mine was quiet. We toasted all the good things that happened this last year — all of which were in our personal lives and NONE of which were in the public lives of the nation. And we toasted the idea that 2006 would be a better year for all of us than 2005. And we laughed a lot. Can’t ask for more on a New Years Eve. But you are throwing a rockin party. Can’t believe you are on part 3. I’m clearly underdressed after seeing Diane’s “image”. I’ll be right back — I’m going to find my boa.

I think I’ve posted to many comments today. My comment window is completely screwy! It’s all centered in the screen & half the buttons aren’t here.
That’s happened to me a couple of times — don’t know how to fix it, except that visiting a few alternative sites and coming back seems to help.
I had the same problem a couple of minutes ago. And here I thought that it was because I’d had too much to drink.

I am really awake. Jim is awake (he is a night owl so this is no big deal for him).
There were just 8 of us at my sisters. It was a very pleasant evening with way too much food and some very nice wine.
I see the katiebird is still just tipsy but hasn’t keeled over yet so I get you’re still just sipping your drambuie.
Ah. Well, I didn’t open the Drambuie until Puget4 did hers a half an hour ago or so. I’m reeling for all the hosting, dishes, table-cleaning & chat. For an introvert like me this has been a very intense day.
Of course, now that I’ve broken open the Drambuie, I’ll probably be staring at that ceiling anytime now!
I’m going to stay up till it’s new years for you and then I’ll head off to bed.
