Whew, fighting my way through all those central time zone balloons to get into here was something else! I’m still covered in confetti. And I can still hear all those central time zones dogs barking because of the fireworks. Great Party Katiebird!
I hate to abandon you all. I do, really! But, it’s totally impossible for me to stay up any longer.
Please have a Happy Happy New Year!
Mountain & Pacific Folks, I’ll be dreaming of you at midnight.

Happy New Year 90 minutes early — I too am hitting the hay. If the sky is blue tomorrow when I wake up I will take it as a sign that its going to be an outstanding year.
It will be outstanding no matter what. Guaranteed!!

In The Hague a lot of fireworks displayed throughout the city center and suburbs. To avoid nasty crowd troubles, the city is now renowned for supporting neighborhood party coordination. To avoid large bon fires in city streets, the city council has given permission for large bon fires on the beach of the North Sea. Nasty rioting has been prevented in the last ten years!

Happy New Year Oui and everyone,
I miss the New Years Day broadcasts of the Wiener Philharmoniker with the Wiener Sängerknaben and the Skijumping competition.
Have not found any coverage here. I think it is seen pretty much all over Europe.
Small correction, Oui, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is in Germany.
.
Thanks ask – impression in memory of an Austrian New Year, but you are right of course its a German event where Olympic games were held.

Oui you just bought back some wonderful memories to me with that picture. I used to ski at Garmisch-Partenkircthen. Or at least I used to try to ski. I can remember the area well with some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen.
I envy anybody today that’s able to be there today.
